A little throw back to nearly 5 years ago for Margery & Damian’s wedding at for their Gatsby themed wedding. I was a rookie in my first year of business as a wedding planner. This bride trusted me with EVERYTHING and it meant the world to me.

We placed the standard ‘half round’ at the end of the table to give it the full effect & dressed it with its own linen and extra decor!

Something that is often left out of discussions is the relationship you build with your vendors. As a planner, I've created numerous friendships from my clients.
This here is after delivering the bouquet to to her hotel. A last-minute change she did so graciously to ensure the bride had her bouquet for detail shots.
As your vendors, we WANT to create a bond with you. No matter if it's the florist, Planner, DJ, catering etc. When interviewing vendors, if you can't see yourself grabbing a drink, being silly etc with them, move along. Find the ones you vibe with and that respect your vision and needs.

My job is pretty cool sometimes. In the middle of my largest event to date, 460 guests. I got to watch the lion dance which I learned is an important ritual in Chinese tradition believed to bring good luck and drive away evil spirits on auspicious occasions.
If you're getting married and haven't considered it, DO. A. RECEPTION. REVEAL!!!. Fit it in to your timeline the last 5-10 minutes of cocktail hour just before you bustle. You'll see this bride's reaction to her reception space. We both cried, hugged, etc. Both Bride and groom sat at their sweetheart table for a moment to soak it in.
It took all of 10 min and they loved every second. You spend thousands of dollars and countless hours planning. .. you deserve that moment.

It's wedding day for these two at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature & I couldn't be more excited for them. I've thoroughly enjoyed planning this wedding and I'm so excited for the turnout.

So often, the flowers for cake are forgotten about. The dessert / cake table can be a decorative piece to your reception. Be sure to ask your florist for a few floral pieces or if your baker offers florals for your dessert/ cake. It creates so much for a small price tag.

Ever hear of the table race game? Well, this was reversed. The bride and groom sat at the front while each table was called to the front to take a group picture. They had until the end of the song to do so. Bridal party ended it with a group pic of each side.

Avianna & Connor came all the way from California to be married at The Mill Pond Estate on Saturday 2.24
On Sunday 2.25.24 Ed & Melissa had a beautiful brunch wedding at Hardeman's Secret Garden to celebrate their love with their friends and family.

This is one of the top reasons couples do adult only weddings. Before you come for me, I have 3 children, my youngest is 3yrs old and I 100000% percent stand behind adult only receptions. If you're bringing your children to a wedding, it is your responsibility to entertain them, control their behalf and anything else just as you would at a theme park. I've seen children completely bored at weddings so they become destructive. Once say a 6yr old run off with one of the uplights. If you plan to have children at your wedding, consider something a little more than just crayons. If there's an extra room at your venue, consider a movie area or video games. @stpeteslumberco is also a fantastic company to provide child entertainment for a reception as well.
