Passionate lover of Post-Punk and all kinds of energetic, emotional and driving underground music
I had contemplated starting to spin music for the better of two years since I moved to Berlin, due to being frustrated with the musical landscape in the scene here. I finally ended up having my rather unexpected DJ debut at the 2018 Gothic Pogo Festival. Afterwards Ankou Morgue and I created 1982 - Skeleton Limbs and Obscure Hymns, a bi-monthly night focusing on a wide range of less heavily played
dancy subculture tunes. So if you want me to spin at your night or festival, hit me up! I bring a lot of passion, love for obscure 80’s post-punk underground and other driven music no matter if old or new. I am doing this out of pure love and passion for the music and the subculture. I just spin the music I would love to hear and dance to at club nights myself, in the hopes of sharing this love and passion with others. How I became DJ Passionate Bones
After I had contemplated starting to spin music for the better of two years since I moved to Berlin due to being frustrated with the musical landscape in the scene here but also in general, I finally had my rather unexpected DJ debut at the 2018 Gothic Pogo Festival.
My friend Oli basically started recommending me aggressively to Maria Lev the morning of the first Gothic Pogo night and she was like: “You know what? I’ll be spinning on saturday in the Halle A and I’ll just give you one of my 30 min. sets and you give it a go!” and I was like: “Ehrm, ok?!”. And then I just sorted through the 11 GB of music I had with me put my favorite stuff on y friends USB stick and spun my first night as a DJ at the freakin’ Gothic Pogo Festival of all places. So thanks to my friend Oli for pushing for it and recommending me so strongly and for Maria for take such a big leap of faith on me and the rest of the DJ team of the night in Halle A for being so nice, kind, welcome, supportive and helpful and also so appreciative of what I was doing and that at my first time.
And yeah I had so much fun and got so much positive reinforcement from the other DJs that have been doing this for so long already that I knew I need to do this more and keep sharing my passion and the music that I am passionate about.
And thanks to my friend René who already asked me if we want to start something together half a year earlier we now ended up starting our first club night together with my friend Frank: 1982 - Skeleton Limbs and Obscure Hymns.
So if you want me to spin at your night hit me up! I bring a lot of passion, love and knowledge of obscure 80’s post-punk underground and driven music in general no matter if old or new. I am doing this out of pure love and passion for the music and the subculture. I just spin the music I would love to hear and dance to at club nights myself in the hopes of sharing this love and passion with others.
