Hospitality has always been at the core of Mike’s career. He has shaped his experiences around the values of: superior service, well-planned events, great communication, and attention to detail. He earned his Hospitality chops working for Houston’s Restaurants for over six years as a Head Bartender and Corporate Bar Trainer for 5 successful openings in the Northeast and Sout
h Florida and later as the opening Service Manager for the Park Avenue location in NYC. Mike is a strong operations manager and has worked with some of the top restaurant groups in New York City. He has a vast background in restaurant and facility openings, event management, customer service and business development. In 2006, Mike was the Beverage Director when the iconic Harry’s of Hanover Square in the Financial District re-opened to continue its run of over 40 years as one of Downtown New York City’s landmarks. In addition to drafting and managing the bars operational aspects during the opening, Mike designed and curated a groundbreaking return of “Classic Cocktail” lists served to a 175-seat Café and Steak House. He also oversaw one of the world’s most extensive Wine cellars and a Wine Enthusiast award winning wine program. Shortly thereafter he took over the Stone Street behemoth Ulysses Folk House, helming the bar program serving over 1000 seats daily (during the summer months). Mike also coordinated two large festivals on the street for several years, the Guinness Oyster Festival and the Stone Street Oktoberfest. In his early years in Bartending, Mike traveled the world honing his skills and increasing his knowledge of cocktails in places like St. Thomas and New Orleans.
