Leanne and Elaine's journey begins when they met way back in 2019, the 8th of September to be exact, almost 5 years ago to the day.
Their first date was to Costa in Eastgate but alas things didn’t progress much further than the coffee.

Fast forward to June 2021 when they met for another coffee, this time in Tiso in Aviemore… alas although they did see each other briefly afterwards the timing just wasn’t right, and they parted ways again.

3rd time lucky… after a few messages back and forth, in January 2022 they met in Starbucks for yep… more coffee, Leanne turned up with her wee nephew… who may have been their lucky charm as the rest as they say is history, Leanne moved to Boat of Garden in March the following year.

Leanne and Elaine are two people who are just meant to be together. They seem to bring out the best in one another and I know they enjoy every minute they can together.

They also share the same wonderful sense of humour and are able to laugh at most things that life throws at them… Laughter is and always be a huge part of their relationship.

They tell me they share a love of mountains, the beach and always look forward to their random adventures.

They also enjoying weekends camping and used to enjoy Munro bagging.

They still enjoy their coffee dates too!

Time spent with Elaine’s son, Warick and their beautiful fur baby Layla is precious. .

Leanne and Elaine were an absolute joy to get to know and work with, there were laughs from beginning to end... wishing them both every happiness in the world x

More gorgeous photos from Catriona Parmenter Photography... this time of the lovely Sasha and Gary who got married at Castle Roy in the presence of their nearest and dearest

Sasha and Gary first met in September 2013 when they moved into the same halls – Oak House- in their first year at the University of East Anglia in Norwich. Gary was in flat 4 – Sasha in flat 7
Soon they were in the same social circles, and by the start of their 2nd year they had moved into the same house with 5 other flatmates.
They spent more and more time together, and while Sasha was adamant that they were just good friends, she did not stop talking about Gary over the Christmas holidays, which led Sasha’s stepdad to say, ‘I think you might be a little bit in love with this Gary’.
When January came around, and they were back together in Norwich, they picked up where they left off in the previous term, and soon found out, kissing your best friend didn’t turn out to be weird at all!

Gary was raised in Lancashire and Sasha was raised in Somerset, they had very similar childhoods... At the time when Sasha would have been making scones with her nan, Gary would have been baking Parkin with his Gran. When Sasha was going to watch Bristol City at Ashton Gate with her Dad, Gary was at Ewood Park watching Blackburn Rovers with his Dad. When Sasha’s mum was insisting they go for another coastal walk along Dawlish Warren, Gary’s Mum was taking him and his sister to St Annes to do the same.

They both share a love of nature and spending time outdoors – they enjoy hill-walking in the Scottish Highlands, and in the Lake District. They have climbed over 50 Munros together so far and are always making plans for their next weekend mini adventure, whether that be the big hills, or just a quiet weekend of camping.

A few years ago they went to New Zealand with a one-way ticket and no real plan, and loved their time out there - skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and exploring new places and nice beaches.

However, maturity has brought with it a more settled lifestyle. They are now happy living in a quiet corner of the Scottish borders, where they enjoy walking around their little town, spending an afternoon gardening, or simply enjoying a cup of tea with the view.

Thank you lovely people for allowing me to play a small role in your special day ... It really was a privilege xx

Gorgeous photos of Pam and Davie's big day from the lovely Catriona Parmenter Photography

When Pam moved in next door to Davie and his mum, Elaine in 2017.... Davie became Pam’s ‘Boy next door’

Not that it was love at first sight… first impressions of each other were not the most romantic I had ever heard.... Pam admits her first thoughts were that Davie was a bit of a player…. Davie tells me he thought Pam was a bit of a loony!

However they found themselves chatting together and having a laugh often. Indeed Pam’s mum, Alison commented that there was a definite chemistry between them when she saw them together at the house one day.

Thankfully it wasn’t too long before they admitted they were actually attracted to each other, or as David would say Pam chased him 😊

These two are very family orientated and treasure any chance to spend quality time with the ones they love, especially their gorgeous family… Davie is an amazing (and at times slightly irritating) stepdad to Dylan, Ethan and Aila.

Together they welcomed their son Cole into the world making their family complete.

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Webster xx wishing you a lifetime of happiness with your gorgeous family xx

Beautiful photos from the talented of Leanne and Sam's perfect day at the gorgeous .

This is Leanne and Sam’s 3rd attempt at getting married as they had to cancel their first 2 attempts to get married in Mexico due to Covid.

But 3rd time lucky! And well worth the wait!

Leanne and Sam's journey begins way back in July 2009 when they met in Inverness Police headquarters (Not in the cells I may add! :)

There were lots and lots of ‘Mate’s Dates' until followed until eventually they admitted they were on a real date… The rest as they say is history as they have been together ever since.

They tell me they share a love of food (yes these two do love their grub) and cocktails!

They also love their holidays, and neither will ever pass up the opportunity to get away to somewhere new where they can indulge in copious amounts of said cocktails and good food.

They also share a love for their wee fur baby ‘Roo’ whom they adore and spoil rotten.

In some ways Leanne and Sam are like chalk and cheese, when I asked them what their difference were, their response was ‘endless’ but as they say opposites attract and this is perhaps one of the reasons why they work so well together…

Leanne and Sam chose to have drinking from the Quaich included in their ceremony which didn't have the traditional whisky in it... instead... yes you have guessed it... their own homemade 'Run Cocktail'

We had so much fun putting their ceremony together and on the day... I hope these two never stop smiling and have the most wonderful happy healthy life together..

Thank you so much for choosing me as your celebrant ladies... it really was a blast!

Beautiful photos courtesy of Megan Jack Photography capturing Michelle and Joel's special day.
Michelle and Joel met at a pub quiz way back in June 2015.

Michelle remembers thinking that Joel was very funny, well clued up on his general knowledge and to her delight gave her very first haggis bomb… the quiz was proving a lot more fun than she had hoped.

Joel remembers his first thoughts on Michelle were ‘wow! She’s tall!’ It didn’t take long for him to realise that Michelle shared his same sense of humour, conversation and laughter flowed easily, yes this was turning out to be a good night.

Michelle and Joel remained ‘just friends’ for a very long time. It wasn’t until they went for a long weekend to Portugal in March 2016 that they admitted they would like to be more than just friends and started dating. On their return they broke the good news to their good friend Stu who responded with ‘Oh you didn’t know?... Everyone else did!’
In the time they have been together a lot of special and important things have happened, none more special or important than the arrival of their beautiful little boy Ronan… who arrived in March 2022 and gets more precious by the day.

A huge congratulations Mr & Mrs Gardiner and thank you for letting me be part of your special day 👩‍❤️‍👨

Earlier in the year I had the absolute pleasure of marrying this lovely pair... Jill and Lewis... Now Mr & Mrs Hendry in Jill's dad, Adrian's garden in Aberdeenshire. This was my second visit to Adrian's garden as back in 2022 I married Jill's sister, Rae to Jonny in exactly the same place... feeling very much like the family celebrant now.
Jill and Lewis actually met in Adrian's house at his Hogmanay party back in 2020... a meeting that had secretly been set up by friends. Jill shared with me that before she met Lewis that night she thought that… and I quote… ‘He was a bit of a snotbag, who wouldn’t be very nice’… but when they met she realised she couldn’t have been more wrong… Lewis told me that before the party he had been told by a few friends that Jill was really sound… when they met at the party he felt as though he had just met a female version of himself. and romance blossomed...Jill and Lewis are both very family orientated and love spending time making memories with those closest to them.

The also tell me that they share the same values and morals in life and agree on most things when they think about the future together. In February of this year a very special and important thing happened in Jill and Lewis’s lives when they became parents with the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Avery, who seems to get more special and beautiful by the day.

Time spent with Avery is so precious and they tell me it feels as though Avery’s arrival has brought them even closer together.
Rae and Jonny's family has increased in size too with beautiful little Ada and I just know Avery and Ada will be very close growing up.
Sadly Lewis's grandad Gordie who was o looking forward to playing the role of best man for Lewis passed away in November last year (I had the privilege of conducting Gordie's funeral)... To symbolise the fact that Gordie will always remain in their hearts and minds Lewis and Jill gave every single person a dram which we raised to Gordie's memory at the end of the ceremony ... what a lovely and special thing to include in their ceremony. Wishing these two a long wonderful and happy life together and cant thank them both enough for trusting me🥰🥰

I Do - I Will - I Love You Ceremonies by Lesley

.Hello lovely people I am hoping many of you will be willing to share your photos and comments good or bad about your wedding. I am hoping to build a page that will show future bride and grooms an honest up to date account of what having a Humanist ceremony is all about.

To introduce myself if we haven't met, Hi and thank you for visiting my page.

About me

I have been a registered celebrant with the Humanist Society Scotland since 2006 and it has been an honour and a privilege to have worked with so many fabulous couples during this time. I just love doing what I do and I make it my mission to make sure you and all of your guests enjoy every minute of your ceremony. Having had my own Humanist ceremony, I know just how important it is to feel comfortable with your chosen celebrant. It is also wonderful that you and your partner get to choose exactly what YOU want, no one else.
