Great turnout and even better weather for this year's Festival Italia at Brands Hatch. One of the best dates in the calendar for good reason, food, music, drink and race cars!

Finally plucked up the courage to paddle the Grand Union Canal and apart from the suspiciously brown water it was great. Definitely prefer rivers (waters much nicer and flow makes for a more interesting experience) but for a quiet paddle with the occasional chat it's alright. Not a bad way to explore the area nearby from a different perspective.
