Argentinian Patagonia, and my two favourite subjects to photograph (sorry sea). This amazing little scene was only a 5-minute walk from the main campground below Mount Fitzroy but was well away from the main trails, so I had 30 minutes of playing around without seeing or hearing another soul.

Shot without a tripod this is a rare image for me, but it allowed me to lay flat on my belly
getting low enough so that this beautiful Lenga tree would frame the Fitzroy massif beyond whilst keeping the branches from overlapping the mountain peaks. This whole area around El Chalten in Argentina is just the most amazing location – it is a long ol’ way but I can’t wait to get back there soon!

A little bit closer to home, I have my last Christmas fayre tomorrow (the Christmas Cracker in Dorchester) so if you are nearby, please pop along as there’ll be over a hundred stalls.

A very sad day today for the band and all Steeleye Span fans
Our dear friend guitarist,singer and songwriter Bob Johnson has passed away this afternoon.
He had been poorly for a few months now but finally left us in search of the rainbows end.
Bob was a key member of the band during the glory days and responsible for many of the bands big ballads
including Thomas The Rhymer and Long Lankin..and most recently Bob's lost track The Green Man was released with much delight to the world.
Out thoughts and prayers are with Bobs wife Mandy and his family
