Our Story
On October 7, 2018, my family and I traveled to Brentwood, TN for my nephew’s 13th birthday party. Pulling up to my sister’s house, we were blown away by the large sign in the yard announcing his birthday! After learning from my sister that it was a rental from a local business, I got really excited and knew immediately that I wanted to do this in Huntsville. The whole way home, I googled and researched yard sign businesses.
After seeing the different yard signs out there, I knew I had to get the original signs that I fell in love with. This led me to contact my inspiration who then shared the company that makes her signs, Bluegrass Greetings. Since then, I have been an affiliate in this group of independent business owners. We officially launched in January 2019 and have been planting signs ever since.
I work full-time as an operating room nurse. I find my full-time job enjoyable, but I tend to see people on the worst days of their lives. They are having surgery that will hopefully make them better, but surgery can be very scary and intimidating for a patient. I feel honored to be there for people in their most vulnerable times.
This business is my “fun” job. I get to help celebrate people’s special occasions. Even though I typically do my sign installations when people are in bed or in for the night, my fun comes in planning and planting surprises for them to find in the morning.
