Many times clients tell me that when the venue is providing a day coordinator, do we really need an Event Coordinator? Here is a small explanation to understand the differences.

Venue Coordinator VS Event Coordinator?
A Venue Coordinator is there for the venue – not to help you, or organize your entire Event.  The Venue Coordinator will assist with helping your Event Coordinator navigate the venue (find plugs, water, direct vendors, unlock/open storage areas; things that are intrinsic to the venue).
 
An Event Coordinator is your complete event planner who will start working with you from the time you sign up with them.  They will help you find a venue, create a timeline, help you hire the vendors,contact vendors before the event to notify them of where to park/unload/what time to be there, organize your Bridal Party, line them up, make sure they are there for the photographer, get them ready for the Grand Entrance.  They coordinate the set up and strike down times of each and every vendor, put out favors, make sure tables are set the way you want etc.,They coordinate with the catering, DJ, and photographers on toasts, cake cutting, first dance, make sure everyone is running according to schedule.
