Le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender people are intricately woven with all aspects of life. We are mothers/fathers, daughters/sons, brothers/sisters, friends, business owners, employees, democrats/republicans, artists, writers, scholars. We are a big part of Western Massachusetts and we welcome you to our ever-growing diverse communities. We are a community that actively cares about justice and

humanity. The ever-present political and spiritual connection for human rights draws people together both near and far, across gender, sexuality, age, ability, class, race and diversity broadly. This strong commitment to social justice allows this area to be an open, rather than closeted, home for many le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. Through the long-lasting volunteer efforts of local community members and the leadership of Noho Pride, in 2016 we celebrated our 35th anniversary of LGBT pride, love, strength and progress. With sponsorships, donations and fundraisers, we are able to fund this extraordinary day of PRIDE, diversity and inclusion.

Greetings Folx!

Now that 2022 is fully underway, we are honing in on how the landscape for eventing has shifted over the last two years, and subsequently how Noho Pride can adapt and be flexible with the current times. We have come to realize that the same parade and festival that we’ve all known and loved for many years, has become an incredibly challenging undertaking for our small crew to plan given the consistent ebb and flow of COVID-related obstacles. Our vision is to look ahead and work towards new, fresh ideas in order to adapt accordingly to create meaningful and impactful experiences for our beloved community.

That being said…

For those who are looking for some q***r jubilance: We can confirm that the parade and festival for May 2022 is currently postponed due to the ongoing difficulty of hosting an event that typically sees 40,000+ attendees while observing safe mask practices and social distancing. However, please stay tuned, there is more information to come
about alternative opportunities to connect and celebrate as a community throughout 2022! You can sign up to receive email updates on our website, nohopride.org.

For those who are interested in being a part of the crew that works consistently throughout 2022 and beyond, to re-imagine and re-shape the future Noho Pride and its events, we are holding an information session meeting on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. via Zoom where we will begin organizing new volunteer working groups. Please sign up to attend here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScede9TeRIylNJXsKpOsyExJJal3qXHa4Nf_bxu-ZzhlGlGSg/viewform

Lastly, THANK YOU for your continued interest and patience regarding the hosting of this festival. We know that so many of you shape your calendars around this annual celebration, and that its absence is felt deeply. We are hopeful that 2022 can be a year of new directions and rebuilding, always striving towards progress.
