I'm a former judge, and in the last six years or so, I've had the pleasure of officiating hundreds of very special weddings throughout Oregon and in Washington, from very small and intimate (5 including me) to very large and formal (500 plus). I'm one of two people to ever officiate a wedding in the Oregon state capitol building. I've officiated in all types of venues including ballrooms, museums,
hotels, vineyards, wineries, formal gardens, farms, churches, beaches, parks, backyards, and living rooms. I've also officiated at all different kinds of weddings including traditional, civil, Spanish, Steampunk, romantic, modern, bilingual, religious, and spiritual. Call me, (503) 798-0110, or email me, the [email protected], to talk about your wedding. My services include advising you about your wedding license; providing you with sample ceremonies; helping you craft a ceremony; assisting you with the flow, order, and structure of the ceremony (processional/recessional); officiating the ceremony; and completing and filing all of your paperwork. My ceremonies are completely customizable, and I will help you craft one just for you. I'm very flexible, and my goal is to help you as much as I can and to give you exactly the kind of ceremony you want. Surprisingly, you might be able to find someone that has even more competitive rates than I do and save ten or twenty bucks, but price is only one small consideration. You only get married once, so I advise couples to choose someone they feel comfortable with and that will give them the type of ceremony they want. Experience is also something that's very important. You definitely want someone who feels comfortable in front of people and who knows what he/she is doing. Finally, one thing people often don't think about is that their officiant will have access to very personal information (mothers' maiden names, dates of birth, social security numbers, etc.) contained in the marriage license. The law allows your officiant to keep a copy of that license. With this in mind, choosing someone trustworthy is extremely important. As a licensed attorney and former judge, I'm bound by strict ethical requirements, so your information is safe with me. Let me know what I can do to help!! If you would like more information, to meet with me, or to reserve the date, please don't hesitate to contact me.
