The Beyene Affair kick us off in less than half an hour!…

Here’s some more details about tonight’s show!…

It’s gig Christmas in Brighton! We are chipping in with our unofficial ‘The Considerable Departure shows at The Pipeline tonight and tomorrow!

Tonight we have these local beauties -

8pm The Beyene Affair - playing sublime funk with splashes of jazz and trio-hop. They make the perfect soundtrack for golden-era hip-hop acts to rap over. You know when Beastie Boys play those funky tracks on their records? yeh that.

8:50pm The Kitchen Sink Band - 8-piece (well 7-piece tonight) who make synth-heavy post-punk grooves. Half the band moved here from Colchester and the band expanded and came to life at jam nights at The Druids Head. Hints of The Fall having a colourful, tropical synth party.

9:40pm Swan Deep - Swan Deep makes and records jazz/trip-hop infused electronic sounds - when played live with full band the songs are put through a post-punk filter which infuses the vibe 😵‍💫

22:30 Van Zon - Experimental post-rockers Van Zon played their debut show in June 2023, swiftly solidifying their status as one of Brighton’s most inventive and thrilling newcomers. The enigmatic five-piece, featuring multiple lead vocalists, guitar, violin, keys, clarinet, bass and drums, seamlessly blend elements of baroque pop, jazz, psychedelia and folk to create a progressive, majestic and otherworldly sound. - Hidden Herd

The shows are fundamentally free entry. But pay what you want donations will be most welcomed and all proceeds will be spent on the sound people at both days, travel costs for the acts, drinks for the acts/sound person. Etc etc. (p.s - we take card payments)
