Lotus in the Palm Brooke teaches contemplative flower design based on traditional Japanese ikebana principles. Buy innovative arrangements for your special place / occasion.

Ikebana is a contemplative art of flower arrangement. Rooted in an ancient Japanese tradition, ikebana combines the beauty of flowers with one's creativity to open a path to self discovery. It hones our patience, mindfulness, confidence and artistic instinct. I have studied Sogetsu Ikebana for 25 years with Sensei Noriko Fields. Over the years, I have taught workshops, classes, and done demonstrat

ions throughout North America and am currently the Deputy Director of the Cincinnati Sogetsu Branch. I've created arrangements for the Lexington Symphony, various restaurants and other public venues. Please contact me if you would like more information about workshops or if you would like a unique arrangement for your special occasion.

Ikebana, an ancient Japanese art form, combines the products of nature with creativity to open a path of self discovery. This mindfulness practice can reflect one's state of mind and affect awareness and perception of self and surroundings.
