Finally jumping back into Instagram for a bit after taking a short break last week at the end of our busy season.

And now it's Fall! 🍂

Bring on the moody tones and darker nights that call for candles for dayyyyyyz. I'm such a sucker for candlelight. The more candles, the better!

It really is true that in the future you'll look back at your wedding photos and remember all of the details of the day.

15 years ago, Carl and I got married on Orcas Island surrounded by nearly 100 of our closest friends and family.

My old college roommates flew in for it, we had family travel from around the country and most of our grandparents were there.

We planned everything in about 6 months once it looked like I wasn't making it off the waitlist for PA school that year. Carl's mom was diagnosed with cancer and started treatment in the middle of the summer and said to keep planning, so we did. Thank goodness she's been cancer free since!

We had warm, almost hot sun during the day and pretty much immediately after our outdoor ceremony, the skies opened up and it POURED the rest of the night.

We diy'd SO much of the wedding including the music, which I would never do again. Our friends were amazing and helped at ton, but looking back with what I know now, I would have left everything up to professionals.

Was I anxious that weekend? oh my gawd, yes. Did it all fade away after I saw Carl before the ceremony? Most definitely, yes.

Looking back, I'm so happy we had our wedding. We have never seen all of these people again in one place and that's truly some of the best magic there is. Where else do you get your best friends through the years in the same place as aunts and uncles and cousins and your co-workers?

Marriage is easy at times and challenging in others. We've ridden a lot of waves together and I'm so happy Carl is by my side through it all.

Happy Anniversary, Carl. I love you and would do it over and over again.

When Lilly and Michael were thinking about having a favor for their guests, they went with something incredibly personal to them: Handwritten poems by Paul

Michael had Paul write a poem for Lilly after they were dating for a short time so they thought it would be fun to have him write some personal poems for their guests as well!

Paul met the guests, pondered for a while and then created a personalized poem for everyone on his typewriter.
No Chat gpt, no AI. All from Paul's head.
And they were a hit!

A couple of days late, but Happy Anniversary to this adorable couple!

S&P celebrated their marriage in the middle of Seafair last year with nods to their pup throughout, a late night hangover kit (the bride is a PA) plus a never-ending dance party by one of their favorite things: dueling pianos!
