My kids are officially on winter break, which means I'm on a bit of a break now, too!

Our couples are at a nice spot to pause with no immediate to-dos, so we can all take a moment to breathe before kicking things into gear in the new year.

I'm hoping to be able to sleep in a bit, relax, and catch up on putting together our family videos so they're not stuck on our phones in the black hole of galleries. You know what I'm talking about, right?

M&C are married!

I met this fabulous couple when I was working with some of their friends on their wedding. They booked us for full service planning to also help find the perfect venue for them.

Over the next year and a half, we worked together to bring in elements of each of them to help personalize their wedding, including a chuppah to incorporate M's Jewish background.

A couple of other key details we included:

M is an avid reader, so she collected vintage books in their color scheme to act as centerpiece details.

C was born and raised in the Seattle area and volunteers to help keep Seattle looking the best it can so rather than having the Mariner Moose crash the party (which was vetoed by the bride) we set out to have a custom sign made for them that encompassed the vintage feel of their venue with the city skyline in the background.

They had an amazing fall wedding that went so incredibly smoothly, and I know a big part of that was their amazing vendor team:

Ever thought of doing a "Seal it with a Shot" at your ceremony?

N&T decided to complete their vows with taking a shot with their officiant during their ceremony. Props to for being so game for this!

It was a hot day in August, so I brought along an ice bucket to keep the shots cold before the ceremony. Using vodka and tequila (poured by their bartenders), I worked with Cherise to make sure she knew who was taking what shot beforehand.

The result was a flawless ex*****on of all three taking a shot to help seal the deal.

The Pantone Color Of The Year is Mocha Mousse.

There have been mixed reviews on the color, but I think it's great!

Wishing I was in Vancouver for tonight's last concert tonight.

I decided to make our Tacoma Wedding Show booth table earlier this year based on Taylor Swift's Midnights album colors and theme to show how you can take inspiration from anywhere and create an event from it.

Some attendees got it, while others had no idea. It was fun to watch people walk by and "get it".

Here for all of the Lily of the Valley bouquets.

They're simple, classic and also smell AMAZING.

There's also a history of significance and meanings with carrying this flower specifically including many royal weddings.
Kate Middleton, Princess Grace, and Queen Elizabeth all carried Lily of the Valley among many others.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

I'm so grateful to have all of you in my life.

Whether we built a relationship working together for your wedding, have become friends through this wacky and amazing industry, or if you are hanging out watching all of the fun.

I appreciate you and am SO thankful for you.

It really is so amazing that I get to do this fun job with my own business, and I have all of you to thank for it.

Proof of life post from outside our bomb cyclone home area.

On Tuesday night we lost power at about 5pm and haven't had it back yet. Estimated time is now Saturday night sometime.
We haven't had cell service and we're on a well, so water is sporadic as is our power when we run the generator. My kids have also been out of school since Wednesday.
I ended up staying downtown last night so I could take a warm shower and blow dry my hair before the WIPA gala last night.
Emails and proposals will be a bit delayed while we continue to wait for power, wifi and all the things to come back to life.

When a flight attendant meets a former air force pilot, a wedding idea and theme focused on being "In The Clouds" makes complete sense.

Jessica wanted things to be sparkly and dreamy and I feel like this fantastic vendor team accomplished that and it wouldn't have been possible if they didn't trust me to bring their vision to life.

Because they live out of town, we maximized every visit to Seattle with multiple on site vendor meetings throughout the day to ensure everything worked well together.

Alright, friends.

Seeing as how it's officially engagement season, it's time to pull back the curtain on how much a wedding in the greater Seattle area could potentially be.

The last time I did this, the pricing was lower, but just like everything else around us, the price for weddings and running businesses has gone up as well.

This is by no means saying your wedding HAS to be this amount or that it's limited to this overall cost.

And as a reminder, weddings are a luxury. You do not need to hold a wedding to become married.

Everyone has different ideas of how much a wedding should cost, what their desires are for the day, and overall what that day looks like to them.
There's no allowance for shaming others here, so take that elsewhere.

I hope this is helpful in narrowing down things for you as you create your initial wedding budget.

Our 2024 wedding season is complete! 🎉

We had the pleasure of helping 11 amazing couples celebrate their marriage in 2024 and loved how different each was from the next. We had a great time getting to know our couples and then watch them celebrate (one of my favorite parts of the day is watching them connect with their guests), collaborate with vendor friends and also meet some great new ones.

I'm off celebrating with a vacation away with my husband, Carl, to relax and rejuvenate so I can best assist our couples getting married in the next year and a half.

I can't wait to see how our 2025 season shapes up. It's off to an amazing start and I am SO excited to see enrich vision come to life.

There's something about a neutral color palette with lush greens within it.

Melanie Benson Florals knocked this one out of the park for A&Z's Kiana Lodge wedding. I can't get over how sophisticated and elegant this wedding was with its gold details and different shades of tan linens.
