Where do the sugar flowers transition to real flowers on this cake? 🪻
Or do they at all??

The process and logistics of making this work seamlessly needed collaboration from the florist and baker ahead of time so the baker knew what flowers to make as well as the colors of them (with enough time to actually make the flowers).

We then needed to find the best time to have the cake set-up as this was part of a room flip (meaning the ceremony space became the dinner/reception space while guests enjoyed cocktail hour elsewhere) Time is always limited during a flip with a lot to do, so having all hands on deck was both necessary and incredibly helpful.

Luckily we had a vendor team willing to jump in and help however was needed to get the job done. And well, you can see the results of how that teamwork turned out. 😍

Fortune cookie table assignments during cocktail hour.

With the couple having different cultural backgrounds, they wanted to find ways to incorporate both into their wedding day. The bride is Chinese and the groom is Greek, so they opted for a fortune cookie favor that doubled as the guests table assignments.
These were on display during cocktail hour so guest could enjoy their cookie while finding out where they were going to sit.

The groom loves to make things on his cricut machine, so he made all of the cards and they attached the fortune cookies plus a Greek eye to protect and provide good fortune.

Working through the logistics, we made sure to have a set of scissors nearby as well as a garbage so the space stayed tidy during cocktail hour.
Guests loved this variation on a seating chart and all found their seats perfectly using their fortune.

I had the pleasure of working with Brynn and Robbie for nearly a year before they got married this fall.

Building a relationship with our couples and then being able to watch them celebrate marrying each other is by far the best part of what I do.

You work together through so many details for so long and for such a momentous day, it's the weirdest thing when it's all over!

Thank goodness for the internet so we can all stay in touch long after the wedding day!

It's that time of year where we're planning, meeting, sourcing and emailing everyone in preparation for our events in 2026 and even chatting with some for 2027!

As a planner we never really get an off-season because as soon as our events are complete for the year, we jump straight into continuing to plan our next years events.

Which is why actual vacations are necessary at times

I'm not sure there's a bad place to take a photo at Lairmont Manor. Every photo I've seen from there is amazing.
Especially when you have the fabulous Kimberly of IntoDust Photography shooting it and a beautiful couple as the main subjects.

When you bring in a live saxophonist, you can pretty much assume that you're going to have an amazing dance party and endless fun for your guests.

K&B wanted a live saxophone for their wedding day so Tim played Kasey's ceremony processional song, entertained guests during dinner and amped up the reception dancing.

This was one of the best dance parties we have seen in a long time and proof that the combination of live music with a DJ is money well spent.
