When Lilly and Michael were thinking about having a favor for their guests, they went with something incredibly personal to them: Handwritten poems by Paul

Michael had Paul write a poem for Lilly after they were dating for a short time so they thought it would be fun to have him write some personal poems for their guests as well!

Paul met the guests, pondered for a while and then created a personalized poem for everyone on his typewriter.
No Chat gpt, no AI. All from Paul's head.
And they were a hit!

A couple of days late, but Happy Anniversary to this adorable couple!

S&P celebrated their marriage in the middle of Seafair last year with nods to their pup throughout, a late night hangover kit (the bride is a PA) plus a never-ending dance party by one of their favorite things: dueling pianos!

When the bride is an avid reader and works as an editor, you make the centerpieces reflect that love. 📚

This incredibly sweet couple wanted a mid-century modern, Palm Springs-esque wedding at the iconic Edgewater Hotel and I'm so happy with how everything turned out.

One year since this dreamy cloud wedding over the water in Seattle. She's a flight attendant and he's a former air force pilot. Jessica wanted their wedding to be dreamy, so why not incorporate some clouds?!

We've had a busy 6 weeks with 5 weddings, an event at the school carnival, and all of the end of school festivities. (I'm pretty sure I was at school every day for a week there...)

I'm looking forward to the next couple of free weekends so we can relax and rejuvenate before we help some other amazing couples get married.

The tender moments of a ceremony where two people are surrounded and celebrated by their closest friends and families.

Seeing the photos come back from a time that I usually miss in a wedding day is one of my favorite parts of looking through a gallery.

Let's talk about sustainability in weddings.

In the event world, and more specifically weddings, some like to say that things will "just be thrown away".
But, I like to counteract that point by looking at everything in this photo:

✨️ The plates, flatware and goblets are all vintage and have been re-used for many years
✨️ The chargers, napkins and linens are all rented and will be reused for as long as they hold up
✨️ The flowers were all broken down into individual bouquets for guests to take home and enjoy later
✨️ Any of the leftover menus were recycled

The only things left were the actual candles, where the holders were reused again as well

So, when you're planning your next event, consider where things are coming from and where they're going.
Renting is better than purchasing as they will be reused over and over again

Also, ask your vendors what their process is. If there are a ton of leftover flowers and if I have the capacity in my car to bring them home, I will breakdown the arrangements into smaller ones to donate to a local women's shelter and retirement homes.
