A real short notice booking means that The Liquidizer is making an appearance on Prinny Ave this Bank Holiday Saturday from 7pm at Hoi Bar. It'll be a variation on his rather good and legendary Rebellious Jukebox, with some excellent tuneage from the "alternative" and "Indie" catalogue with some Easter Bank Holiday bangers thrown in. plenty you'll know (but may not have heard in a while) and one or two deeper cuts.

Well What and EPIC weekend at the HULL PUNK FESTIVAL. The sheer warmth and cameraderie of all the bands and attendees was amazing and heartwarming. I don't think I can remember an event I've enjoyed and had so little stress at (despite drop outs and unreliability of some ) in a long time. Thank you to all the bands who all brought their A game over the whole event (considering their were 14 bands, not one dropped the level, so much so It's hard to pick a high point) Shreds. Runt Band Hot Rockets Zero Cost Filthy Filthy Nosebleed Joey Blues Tempersflare Shock Corridor No Good Deed band Pat Butcher The Last Hearts Nervous Twitch Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies
And to all those that bought tickets and turned up on each day it was awesome. I think we started something, that has long been a desire of mine for the 26 years of being the zeitgest in Hull And thanks to the generosity of sprit of these bands and their greatness, It happened. It was also a fitting tribute to Jacob (the outgoing manager of The Haworth and creator of ALOFT) for his vision and belief in me, we now have a great new addition to the grass roots circuit. Onwards and upwards, loads of awesome shows incoming from Smash It Up and The Breakfast Club presents.
Day Two incoming at 3pm today, if you couldn't make Saturday, there are more awesome treats today....
Well That's day one done... and what a day it was...magnificent, mood was fantastic, every single band was right on their A game, absolutely faultless sets from all, audience was fabulous too so much warmth in the room. Thank you to those that bought tickets and supported. Shreds, Runt Band Hot Rockets Zero Cost Filthy Filthy, and the always mighty Nosebleed (who just blow the roof off every time). Day two has a high bar to reach, but there are some more brilliant bands on, Pretty damn happy so far.
