Everyday is Earth Day as a florist and even more so as I’ve become obsessed with gardening this year. I’m always looking to incorporate more sustainable practices to our current ones like designing foam-free when possible, donating flowers to local hospitals, and composting. One practice that makes me most excited is designing with more of our homegrown blooms which is as local as you can get! The varieties grown at home aren’t sold at flower markets which not only make your event flowers special but also saves on overall energy consumption. Would love to know how you’re helping out Mother Earth!
