I had an awesome time last night at the Lake Isle Pub Night and I could tell I wasn't the only one! The Lake Isle Community Hall was packed with patrons enjoying music trivia, karaoke, great food and some Fox & Hare Facepainting! Lots of kids in the facepainting chair too but I missed a lot of those pics. Definitely a great night out for the entire family! I believe the next pub night will be hosted on October 10th.

LAKE ISLE COMMUNITY HALL NEWS

Our board members have had a busy summer so far with our pub nights, the family picnic, and rentals.

The Community Family Picnic was held July 26 on our picnic grounds. Games, races, Fox & Hare Facepainting;moneypit, and food were enjoyed by all. Even the rain held off for the afternoon. Thank you to Roger & Robert Horne for supplying the sand for the moneypit and thank you to SANG Community Enhancement Foundation for sponsoring this event.

Then, on August 8, we hosted a “Fiesta” evening complete with a pinata. Live music was provided by the Amigos. Food Truck “Fries with That” was on site to provide the food. All attendees, young and old had a great time.

Our next event will be held Friday, September 12. Music Trivia & Karaoke. Doors open at 5pm and trivia will begin 6:30 pm with karaoke to follow. This will be a fun night, so grab some friends and make a team for the music trivia. Menu is smoked pulled pork and choice of salads.

Our last pub night of the year is Friday, October 10. Jam night with Greg Germscheid. Bring your talents and join Greg on stage.

Here are a few more photos from our weekend at the Pigeon Lake Music Festival. After taking a break from social media, I'm now catching up on uploading my artwork. I had a lot of fun painting at PLMF.

Lexi gave me valuable practice with neon face paints. I loved her ideas, and the outcome was great, but her enthusiasm turned to insecurity when adults criticized her design concept. Remember, kindness and silence are free, and they can make a difference in a child's self-esteem and self-confidence.
