We're honored and delighted to announce that Chloe has been selected as part of the Irish Muay Thai Council team for the youth world championships in Antayla Turkey, beginning at the end of September this year, where she won silver last year out in Thailand. Chloe has been training extremely hard for this opportunity and its a real confidence boost for her after what the Irish Athletic Boxing Association done to her in May. After they received a childish complaint from Illies Golden Gloves Boxing Club in Donegal, where they have a high up official who runs the club, of which Chloe bet her daughter twice in the All Ireland competition last year and again this year and obviously doesn't like to see young children succeed.

Katie Taylor🇮🇪 has beaten Delfine Persoon🇧🇪to claim the WBC Lightweight title and become the undisputed world lightweight champion🏆🥊 Both women fought brilliantly, but after the ten rounds Taylor came out on top💪 Well done Katie, she is now the first Irish boxer to hold all four titles!☘️

Today is a big day for Katie Taylor🇮🇪 as she prepares to step out into the ring against Belgium's Delfine Persoon🇧🇪 in Madison Square Garden🇺🇸 A win tonight would secure Katie the WBC Lightweight title, her fourth belt, making her the undisputed Champion of the World. This would be a first for any Irish boxer🇮🇪🥊 Katie has done so much for Women's boxing throughout the last few years and deserves everyone's support.

As competitors in the All Ireland Student Enterprise Programme Competition on May 3rd in Croke Park, we are representing our county. With that, we feel the need to promote the talent of the sporting girls and women here in Carlow. We recently made a video promoting exactly this. It includes many females from the local area and we also have our ambassador, Molly Scott, featuring in our video.
As keen sports people ourselves who play a range of different sports, we have experienced first hand the differences between males and females sports. From not playing in the main venues for important games/ finals to not having access to pitches for training. We are not being invested in enough, our teams don't get food after any of our training's or dinner after matches, we dont get gear handed to us without doing multiple fundraisers, we dont get the same support.
While all the sports we play arent this way, we definitely think something needs to change.

Well done to our Under 16 team and management on reaching their second successive Leinster Under 16 B Final after a heart stopping final ten minutes against an outstanding Kildare team today. They will now play Laois in the final on Sunday, May 5th.

Sincere thanks to Michael OBrien, Austin Kinsella and Har Butler for having the Fenagh GAA pitch in such prestige condition. Thanks also to John Hickey, Eamon Dowling and Paul Kenny for car parking and gate collecting duties and to all the wonder ladies who looked after refreshments for both teams and supporters.
