ROMEICH'S 2nd BIANNUAL CRICKET LEAGUE: AN EXCITING EVENT IN THE HEART OF BATAVIA

Cricket enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The eagerly anticipated Romeich's 2nd Biannual Cricket League is set to kick off on March 24th and 25th, 2024, at the picturesque Batavia Playfield. Hosted by the esteemed Williams family, this thrilling competition promises two days of action-packed cricket featuring male and female teams battling it out in an 8 overs softball format.

The tournament will feature male and female teams competing in an 8 overs softball format, ensuring fast-paced and exciting matches for spectators and participants alike.

Female games are scheduled for March 24th, while male games will take place on March 25th. Both days of the competition will commence at 9:00 am, allowing attendees to enjoy a full day of cricket excitement.

The scenic Batavia Playfield, nestled in the heart of the fast-developing Amerindian Village in the lower Cuyuni district, will serve as the perfect backdrop for this prestigious event. Surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty, the venue provides an idyllic setting for cricket enthusiasts to come together and celebrate the sport they love.

Generous prizes await the victors of the tournament. The male winners will receive GYD 300,000 in addition to a coveted trophy, while the male runners-up will be awarded GYD 50,000 along with a trophy. For the female teams, the winners will take home GYD 200,000 and a trophy, with the runners-up receiving GYD 20,000 and a trophy. These prizes serve as a testament to the dedication and skill of the participating teams, motivating them to give their all on the field.
