Hi all! My name is Corrie Mendes ✨ I own C Event Studio in Los Angeles. I haven’t reintroduced myself in a while to any of my new followers so here we are! Welcome!!
I’ve been living in Los Angeles for 25 years now originally from Canada. I started my professional journey in this crazy city working for the Academy of Motion Picture on the Oscars. From there I freelanced on live tv shows AMA’s, Grammys, Emmy Awards etc. My old friend Brent Miller introduced me to an event producer who needed someone to help on a party in Spain for Norman Lear. I ended up managing her office for 12 years and was lead on many amazing events & weddings all over the world. Michael Jordan’s wedding in Florida. Kim & Kanye’s wedding in Italy. Nick & Vanessa Lachey’s wedding on Necker island….So many more and great memories (you can spot me on some old Kardashian Episodes or wedding specials 🙃). I have two girls who I love more than anything and when I had my second daughter I started my rental company to be able to have more time with my family & help my daughter with her health issues. The demand for me to keep doing events kept pulling me back, so in addition to the rental company, I opened C Event Studio. ✨For the last ten years I’ve been so grateful to continue to produce beautiful (and FUN) events for you…focusing on design, detail & ease for my clients. Most of my clients have now become friends /family over the years. We’ve travelled all over the world but primarily in our home town of LA producing events for our favorite people & creating their families memories ❤️ Thank you for following along on our fun journey! Hard to find the right words…
LA is devastated. What’s happen to our city is like losing a loved one in a weird way… you go thru the emotions of let’s help and get things done. Then thoughts start to process and settle in. Sad for the losses. Grateful for community coming together. Guilt that I can’t help enough or guilt to leave town or guilt that MY house is ok. Fear that another fire will start. Fear for the impact this will have on local business and the economy. Anxious with our bags packed by the front door as they are keeping us on alert to go if needed in a second. Love ❤️ for the people who care.. those who keep checking in… my CT & WA meteorologists & family friends outside of LA who have been on edge because they are watching the news and are worried for us. ❤️ love for the firemen and first responders. ❤️ for neighbors, the LA community & my mom group chats of sanity and information.
Me and my C Event Studio/ team are safe at home while we try to reschedule events, support our community & process what has just happened. Sending love to you all ❤️
To my friends, clients, vendors & community… every job we had till March just cancelled or postponed like so many of my other event industry friends.
With the free time… Me and my team are volunteering our time to the cause in any way we can so please don’t hesitate to DM me…

🌟9-12-12🐉Camden turned 12 on the 12th which means this is his Golden Birthday! Also, he was born the Year of the Dragon and this year is the same! Apparently, when your birth year & age line up it’s your platinum birthday. Whew… Haha! Lots to celebrate! He wanted to combine his two favorite things: Hibachi & Break Dancing! So, Mama delivered! (With my #1 partner in crime !!!). I Love this guy and the young man he is becoming. So unbelievably grateful for these memories! Daddy was away filming, but he was there in spirit!!! Last week I was lucky enough to start the New Year with a last minute party in Oahu. Two weeks planning. 9 suitcases. 12 amazing vendors and 3 of the best team in town we pulled it off. Always fills my cup when i get to plan, hang and work with ..my party partner in crime 🥰🌴
