Our Story

My name is Hillary, I was born and raised in Huntington. I have been one of the finest Master Floral Designers on Long Island for 30 years. I have also been involved in animal rescue for my entire life. Our floral business has been supporting furry friends since it’s inception, so now we are officially combining the two. Petals for Paws, creating the best personal and creative floral decor for Long Island events, benefiting animals.

Unconditional love is what our fur-babies bring us, and flowers are about the celebration of life and love. If you love animals; your special day can save lives.

Animal stories: Isabel was our store cat in Cold Spring Harbor, she and her litter mates were found as tiny kittens, thrown into the Mohawk River to drown. We came upon them on the shoreline and brought them home, bottle fed and nursed them to health. We kept Isabel and her brothers Schmata, Tahoma and Valentine; we found wonderful homes for the rest. Bubba and his 7 litter-mates are golden/lab mixes, rescued as 2 week old puppies from a domestic abuse situation. All 8 puppies and their Momma were adopted into loving homes. All animals deserve loving and safe homes. The animals we rescue go to the finest homes, where they spend their lives with love, comfort and safety.

The profits from Petals for Paws are used for: food, litter, housing, flea and tick prevention, veterinary care, spaying, neutering, toys, micro chipping, bedding and TNR and care of feral cat colonies in Brooklyn and Long Island.
