Entry Information
Entry is not complete until payment is received. The first 150 paid entries will be accepted.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Online entry and payment postmark deadline is June 19, 2024. Animal entries are $25 each. Showmanship entry is $15 per person (does not apply to PeeWee showmanship). General Rules and Guidance
• This is a Beyond the Ring Junior Livestock Association sanctioned show. Entries are open to 4-H, FFA, or Junior Cattlemen’s members from any state through age 21.
• 17 Buckles are awarded for Top 5 Heifers, Top 5 Market, Top 2 Bulls, and 5 Showmanship Division Champions.
• Local hotel information is GuestHouse Inn and Suites, 1701 Montgomery Hwy, Luverne, AL 36049. Phone 334 335 3050
• All exhibitors and animals must be checked-in between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. Friday arrivals are welcome.
• Space under the barn is available first-come, first-served. Electrical outlets are limited. Generators are necessary. Be prepared to tie to the trailer.
• Bedding will be available for purchase first come, first served. Exhibitors can bring their own bedding.
• This is a blow and go, NO FIT show. All animals will be exhibited at the owner's risk and in their natural state, clean and clipped. No paints, glue, etc. Animals should be shown clean and dry. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.
• For cattle crossing state lines, entries must abide by the health regulations of open shows. Health papers are required for out-of-state cattle. Refer all questions to the Alabama State Vet’s Office at 334 242 7253.
• Short-sleeve T-Shirts ($20) and Sweatshirts ($30) are available for preorder in YS to A3XL.
• Schedule:
8:00-9:30 Check-in/Weigh-in
11:00 Complimentary Lunch
11:30 PeeWee Showmanship
12:00 Showmanship (oldest to youngest), Bulls, then Market Animals, and then Heifers

Showmanship
• There is a $15 per person fee for showmanship (does not apply to PeeWee showmanship).
• Exhibitors must show their own properly entered animal in Showmanship Divisions I-V.
• PeeWee showmanship is for those ages 9 and under who do not have cattle entered in the market or heifer show. There is no fee for PeeWee but online entry is necessary.

Bull, Heifer and Market Entries
• Animal entries are $25 per head.
• All bulls must be born on or after September 1, 2022. Bulls must be registered to the junior exhibitor as the sole owner and have registration papers at check-in. Breed classes will be determined by the number of registered bulls entered. If a breed fails to make, bulls without a declared breed class will show as AOB. All bulls must have a nose ring or nose restraint with the lead attached at all times, with the exception of being tied in the stalls and tie outs.
• All registered breeding heifers must be born on or after September 1, 2022. Registered heifers must be registered to the junior exhibitor as the sole owner and have registration papers at check-in. Breed classes will be determined by the number of registered heifers entered. If a breed fails to make, those registered heifers without a declared breed class will show as AOB. Heifers with pending papers will weigh-in and show as commercial heifers.
• Commercial heifers, market heifers, and steers will be shown by weight. Market heifers will compete with steers in the Market Animal classes. Heifers can only be shown as breeding animals or market animals, not both.
