This past Saturday's Garden Party and Book Sale, to benefit the new Library Landscape Initiative, was a great success! We want to thank the many people who showed up in the heat and humidity to browse and purchase items, the Friends of the Library who organized and worked at the sale, the smokin' hot band Workingman's Duo (Rick Maida, Tad Hitchcock, and bonus harmonica player Hatrack Gallagher), Library Trustee Sally Bubier, who provided a tent, and Library Trustee Jan Rosenberg, who has been the leader of the Library Landscape Initiative. If you would like to donate your time to working on the library landscape, please send us an email at [email protected] and we'll connect you with Jan. If you would like to contribute funds to the Initiative, you can either drop off a check at the library or donate online at https://www.maynardpubliclibrary.org/join-friends.
