✨ 📣 Disco Volante is turning 10 📣 ✨

A decade ago, Disco Volante started as a rooftop gathering fueled by passion, great music, and the dream of bringing people together. Since then it’s grown into something I could never have imagined - a space where friendships are made, nights are unforgettable, and the music brings us all closer.

I’m beyond grateful for every person who’s danced, DJ’d, or simply been part of this 10 year journey. From those wild first 4 years of Thursdays at 161, until now our annual parties and dancefloor takeovers.. Your energy and love are what make Disco Volante truly special.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, I have got an epic day and night planned..

Getting pumped for the vibes at New Guernica Glamorama & Circus this weekend 🖤

I’ve been reflecting on the ongoing Australia Day/Invasion Day issue, and it sure hits different knowing there’s still no signed treaty acknowledging the sovereignty of Indigenous folks. Australia is one of the only Commonwealth countries without a treaty with its First Nations peoples! This makes me consider the severe impacts on Indigenous communities - displacement, violence, and a deep sense of cultural loss. Engaging in open and respectful conversations with Indigenous people about their perspectives is crucial. Listening and learning from their experiences can provide valuable insights.

Australia Day? Not my thing… Here’s to a weekend filled with great music but also reflection, remembering ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BE ✊❤️🖤🧡 Acknowledging the significance of the beautiful, but stolen land we thrive on, and the call for Indigenous sovereignty…
