We often get asked, “What is a first look?”

A first look is a private moment before the ceremony when a couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day—just the two of them (and of course their photographer) soaking in the moment. Many couples say this was one of their favorite parts of the day, a chance to be fully present with each other amidst all the excitement and anticipation. It is a beautiful opportunity to exchange intimate, personalized vows in private.

The Color of the Year 2025, Mocha Mousse, has arrived! The rich, yet sophisticated color evokes a sense of warmth and elegance. I find that I am continually drawn to the timeless allure of earthy tones and textures.

When designing this spring tablescape, we embraced the richness of this warm color palette, blending earthy hues with harmonious accents of pale blush to create a setting that is both inviting, yet refined. A khaki-striped linen from served as the foundation to the tablescape and beautifully complemented by the elegant printed napkins that echoed the mocha undertones. The design was further enhanced by the blend of taupe and Mocha Mousse colored taper candles and the natural texture of the spring blooms.

The ceramic plateware from the collection, paired with the taupe champagne coupes from , added an understated elegance, that perfectly complemented the earthy yet sophisticated design.
