From their vibrant colors to their unique blooms, hydrangeas have a captivating charm that graces gardens and homes alike. 🏡✨

Ordinary roses become extraordinary! Follow these steps, from @emily.pinon, Ode à la Rose’s creative director and the magician behind all beautiful events & weddings. 1. When selecting your roses look for roses with a lot of petals. 2. Petal by petal, gently bend each petal outward from the middle of the petal towards the base of the petal. 3. Take your time. Some petals may tear and if so adjust the position of where you bend the petal outward. 4. Avoid touching the tips of the petals. This area is very delicate and is the “face” of the rose so we want it to look perfect without tears, bruising or smooched petals. 5. Expert tip - you can leave your roses out of water for three - five hours to dehydrate them causing the petals to soften making it easier to bend them outward. We do this often in the wedding & event industry. 6. If you decide to dehydrate your roses, after opening them up you must give them a fresh cut and put the in lukewarm water treated with flower food ASAP. 7. This arrangement looked beautiful for 6 days! The roses kept there shape and lasted beautifully!

Our Story

Bonjour!

We’re Louis and Olivier, co-founders of Ode à la Rose. Many years ago, we moved to New York City from our native France to pursue careers in one of the most poetic, colorful, and uplifting industries: banking.

We were thrilled to explore a new city, going on exciting adventures, and making friends along the way, but soon came up against a thorny cultural difference. We weren’t falling in love with the flowers we met here, and we mean this literally.

In France, flowers aren’t just something you send; they tell a story on your behalf. From the variety to the number of stems, from the color choice to the composition, bouquets carry meaning, heart, and passion. Picking the right one is a tall order!
