Last night and this morning we were in St Ives, delivering event management, crowd safety cover, site comms, traffic management (via FTaS Traffic Management), security (via Fox Security Ltd), and medical (via St John Ambulance) on behalf of St Ives BID and St Ives Town Council Cornwall.

The New Year's Eve celebrations in St Ives are the result of months of meticulous planning, involving close collaboration with local and county services, and the development of dynamic, adaptable strategies.

Effective communication is crucial when managing the complexities of a large-scale, multi-faceted street party. To ensure seamless coordination, we employed a combination of analog radios, a site repeater, digital radios, and 4G radios. Additionally, we established a dynamic Event Control Centre, where the event management team, loggist, police, and security manager worked collaboratively in the same space. We also implemented dual-network WiFi to further enhance connectivity and communication throughout the event.

Yesterday we were in Saltash for the implemented backup plan for the Saltash Christmas Festival.

Although storms and high winds cancelled a huge amount of the festival last weekend, due to some quick action and implementation of various backup plans the Santa fun run, the lantern parade, and the fireworks were all reorganised for a week later.

Diverse Events CIC delivered the event management planning, local authority liaison, crowd safety, logistics, traffic management (alongside FTaS Traffic Management), site comms, entertainment, medical (with Dartmoor Ambulance Service), and fireworks (from Celebration Pyrotechnics).

As always it's great working alongside the volunteer committee for the festival and Tamar Trotters Running Club Saltash for the fun run, as well as Mike Pitches Photography for photography.

This evening we supported with a peaceful walk across the Tamar Bridge, as part of the 16 days of action against gender based violence.

Diverse Events CIC supported with crowd safety, liaison with the Tamar Crossings - Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee, and medical cover.

It was nice to be joined by Mike Pitches Photography and our friends at Devon and Cornwall Police.

Despite the wet and windy conditions tonight, these two heroes/fools (take your pick!) braved the weather to take down and secure all the road signs ahead of the weather, and the cancelled Saltash Christmas Festival tomorrow.

Yesterday we were in Brixham for Brixham Town Council's Lanterns, Lights, & 'luminations 2024.

Although this was supposed to be a two day event, the predicted weather of storm Bert well and truly cancelled the Saturday. Fortunately due to robust planning and quick action we were able to move many of the attractions to the Friday.

A Kick Up The Arts did a fantastic job with delivering many lantern workshops across Brixham, resulting in an incredible lantern parade.

Diverse Events CIC delivered the event management planning, local authority liaison, crowd safety, layouts, logistics, traffic management (alongside FTaS Traffic Management), production & staging (alongside XLA Audio), site comms, entrainment, security (with Fox Security Ltd), medical (with Dartmoor Dmbulance Service), waste management (from Biffa), fireworks (from Celebration Pyrotechnics), welfare services, power distro, marketing, and everything else in-between.
