This is what I mean when I say "Let's go do something!" I love telling the STORY of your love! Caitlin and Tyler love going to so we spent the morning there and then stopped by their home to visit with their kitties! After that we went on a little adventure in the woods and frolicked through the pines 😂 it was such a fun day and they now have a sweet little memory to go with their photos!

Also- shout out to Creston Brewery for being so amazing and communicative and absolutely welcoming when we came in to do their session. It was such a pleasure working with them!

This is such great info and any photographer worth their salt will agree! Check and double. Heck the contract. Ask questions. View their reviews AND a full gallery from a wedding (or even better- multiple weddings!). Don't feel bad about doing your due diligence especially when it's for a once in a lifetime event that is expensive!!

Get you a friend that supports your small business with their whole heart 🩷 Nicole has, from the beginning of our friendship, shown up for me and supported my photography so wholeheartedly and enthusiastically that it's making me tear up just thinking about it. She has trusted me to photograph some of the most important moments of her life: her wedding to her wonderful husband, when she brought their baby boy into the world, and now I get to capture their sweet family all together. I could not be more grateful for her friendship 🥹

Woof. Not the cute dog kind though. This wedding season- this year really- has absolutely kicked my ass. I have lost multiple friendships because people kept taking advantage of my kindness, I have struggled mightily to find reliable second shooters, I have had so many issues with random health things, and tomorrow we face the most important election of all of our lifetimes. All of these things make me want to create positive change in my own life, and they have led me to a few conclusions that are going to shape my business going forward:

1)I am going to be thanking God a lot more for the things he does for me. I do not have a traditional church background- I learned what I know through private research and study and I am extremely critical of the mainstream "christian" churches. I LOVE talking abut God, I want to share that with people, but I have held back for years because I was afraid of alienating people that the church likes to be hateful towards. But I also firmly believe I can be an example of a loving, genuine, accurate Christian and do so by openly supporting and loving everyone. So if you feel like you're in the same boat, we should talk! I am planning to start a bible study group after the holidays.

2) I am only offering one package for photography because I thrive on simplicity and clarity.

3) I am only going to be offering photography moving forward. I will have video as an add-on with an associate team, but I will not be offering it myself.

4) I am no longer hiding my political affiliation out of fear that it will hurt my business. It might, but I don't care. I can get a job anywhere anytime, I am not ashamed of any work that is honest work, so loss of income is not something I am going to fear. For me, politics are a direct reflection of how God wants me to treat other humans. With love .

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk lol. I can't wait to see what God has in store!

Allie + Hunter | September 7th, 2024

What a wonderful day this was! Perfect weather, bagpipes, a gorgeous golden sunset, the most stunning bride and groom, and so much love. Not only are Allie and Hunter the kindest people ever, but their families were also so welcoming and wonderful as well! And the SPEECHES- those were incredible, hilarious, and heartfelt. Some of my favorites I’ve ever heard. It was just an awesome day all around and I am so glad I got to help them remember it!

I cannot even say enough sweet, wonderful things about this wedding. Shiela and Lee had a small family affair with all of their closest loved ones and when I say it was a highlight of my year- I absolutely mean it. It was so beautiful to see these lovely people join their families together in such an intimate setting, and it made me so thankful this is the kind of “work” I get to do.

Please hire me to capture these kinds of memories for you. Getting to be a part of such a meaningful step in peoples’ lives is something I don’t take for granted and will always be so grateful for. And to everyone that has worked with me- I love you guys! Thank you for allowing me to do this wonderful thing ❤️

Kids, man. They just being an energy to celebrations unlike anyone else. Plus they are always down for a fun shot. Or jumping off of something. Or rolling down a hill. Or just general chaos😂 it’s so great and I love finding ways to incorporate that excitement into photos!
