Here's the story behind the photo :
In 1990 I went to Long Island to take a photo of De La Soul. They were busy recording their album but said they would make an 'art piece' for me for a quick photo.
Years later DJ Maseo said "Janette caught us being us and didn't try to overwhelm us or push us into doing anything we weren't comfortable with.She was very aware of our schedule and how hectic it was and she didn't mind us taking a picture holding a sign saying, 'You are pi***ng us off with your pictures' (That) was a great day in long Island"
