My dad Daniel Patrick Ball died nine years ago today. He was a brother and son. He lost his older brother from fever when he was only nine. He was a football star at Glassboro HS. He was a Vietnam veteran, a serious proud Marine. A father who played with his kids. He buried two of his five kids. Not easy. He had his own business later in life. He was a Grand Knight of the KofC. He was an obsessed grandfather. He was chaplain for the retired Marine group he so loved. He worked on establishing a scholarship for children of the Marines there. I asked it be named after him. It was and has raised over $30k in the nine years. Jon and I contribute every year. We are present. Even in sickness. I did miss this year because of surgery. Any way. Life is full of highs and lows. Lots of them. In the end I hope he is proud of me. I have done a lot of good. I have the best intentions. Love you Dad. Semper Fi..💕

This past Saturday, scholarships were awarded to two deserving students, family of our beloved Cape Atlantic Marines. Unfortunately, I am recovering from surgery and was unable to attend for the first time as was all of my other busy family members. To say I am grateful to the Marine Corps family would be simply not enough. They have been loyal and so committed to continue honoring Daniel Ball, my beloved father's legacy for 8 years now. Thank you from my husband and I~~~who will never stop.
