In an unexpected twist of faerie-fate, the amazing will be joining us for the Vintage Faerie Ball! They truly are superheroes in kilts! Plus they really know how to put on a show! I know how much the faeries love them, and we are all in for a special treat! Thank you guys and we’re looking forward to meeting new band member Sebastiaan Hidding. What about ? I hear you say...Well, a couple of days ago, our beloved Štěpán Honcfell and broke his wrist, meaning he can not play guitar for at least 4 to 5 weeks. He called me from the hospital to let me know.

We will welcome Perkelt back to a Faerie Ball next year once his wrist has healed. Please join me in sending him healing wishes for a swift recovery. We love you Stepan, and the rest of band too.

The Vintage Faerie Ball + Weekend Fayre is not far away now and I’m sooo excited to meet with our magical fae community in Glastonbury....Hope to see you at the Ball and the free Faerie Fayre 💜🧚🏻‍♀️✨🍂🍁🍄‍🟫

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

Please note: The evening Faerie Ball will now be in ANOTHER venue in Glastonbury 🤩 Deets forthcoming!
Yay! I hear you say! This means exhibitors can stay set-up on Saturday, ready for Sunday trading! No need to pack down until the end of Sunday. I know this makes a huge difference, especially at the Assembly Rooms venue.

Excited already 🧚🏼‍♀️🍂🌟

It’s time to fully immerse myself in the vintage vibe for the Vintage Faerie Ball + Weekend Fayre this October. Although, to be honest, this mood has been with me for months, and I’m so excited about it …!

When Karen Kay announced the theme I’m pretty sure I read somewhere she alluded to The Cottingley Fairies; at the time I was reading books about Victorian Spiritualism, and thoughts turned to that era and later, when the photographs were taken, how much Sir Arthur Conan Doyle emotionally invested in Spiritualism and Theosophy, how the years of loss and longing for contact with loved ones turned up the interest on the otherworld dial into fevered obsessions. I was also reading a thesis on how Spiritualism was the domain of and also cause of some sort of liberation in women, that it afforded them freedoms and respect not previously experienced.

“Vintage” has such a different feel to different people, but for me, for this autumn, I’m feeling Victorian/Edwardian, old photos and sepia tones, crystal balls and scrying mirrors, Momento Mori and Tennyson’s poems, beautiful old books and the Golden Age of Illustration, Pre-Raphaelite paintings and parting the Veil to converse with dead lovers, portraits in attics, women in white, moonstones, ripped lace, faded flowers, love letters, tarot cards, moss covered gravestones and ivy covered follies … I’m thinking unfettered Gothic romance. I’m thinking this theme could be A LOT of fun …!

My heart goes out to all the festival organisers affected by the stormy weather this weekend. So much work goes into organising these events and it's so sad for the visitors and festival crews.

The thing with outdoor events is that you never know what the elementals will bestow... It's always a gamble.
We were truly blessed last weekend as we had perfect weather...

Over the coming days I will unashamedly be sharing from my 3 Wishes Fairy Festival 2024 🤩 To me, it's so much more than 'just' an event, it is an expression of my heart and soul, my passion and my joy. It is no fantasy, it is my reality, faerieality... An opportunity to gather with like-minded and hearted people who love the land and the fae.

It's almost impossible to believe this will be our seventeenth year in faerieland! Each year telling myself, this is the last one! That way, each event is approached with freshness and extra heart energy which is infused into every single aspect of the event.

Who knows what the future holds! Hopefully three magical days and nights of faerie delight yay! See you in the faerie field in the aura of Glastonbury Tor, where we will dance and sing under the stars and moon, and celebrate the earth, and of course, the faeries
