Hello followers! Here, I'll explore the world of flowers and the beauty of being a florist.
Being a florist is a labor of love that allows me to work with nature's most exquisite creations. Flowers are symbols of love, celebration, and remembrance. The delicate petals, intricate patterns, and captivating scents of flowers capture the senses and evoke emotions, making them an essential part of life's most significant moments.

Floristry is an art form that requires creativity, skill, and a deep appreciation for nature's bounty. I am lucky to have the ability to take an assortment of flowers and transform them into breathtaking arrangements that tell stories, convey emotions, and enhance the atmosphere of any space.

Being a florist is a rewarding and fulfilling vocation for me. Here are some of the reasons why it's a truly beautiful profession:

Bringing Joy: Florwers have the power to brighten someone's day with a simple bouquet. The smiles on my customers' faces and the gratitude I receive for making someone's day more beautiful is incredibly fulfilling.

I have been waiting to share these beautiful images with you for sometime now… Imogen and Will got married in the middle of May in the Cotswolds and they had the most beautiful modern and luxurious florals for their wedding day!
The bouquet was particularly special, filled with beautiful ranunculus, mini anthuriums, stunning quicksand roses, timeless carnations and elegant naomi roses.
Such a pleasure to work with this lovely couple!

So, today is my birthday and thought of sharing something a little personal that will probably surprise quite a few people that know me…🙂
A really good friend of mine send me a text this morning and she wrote:
“I hope that today you manage to do something for you. Whatever that may be!”…so I thought ok, let’s do it, let’s share a bit of my story and do this in the hope that it’ll help someone else feel less alone…❤️
Okay, so, it turns out that as well as being a migraine sufferer I have also been diagnosed in early Dec last year with a PMDD (been struggling for years with it!).
For people that don’t know what PMDD is, it stands for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and is a cyclical, hormone-based mood disorder with symptoms arising during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and subsiding within a few days of menstruation.
Symptoms of PMDD are:
• Mood/emotional changes
• Irritability, anger, or increased interpersonal conflict
• Depressed mood
• Anxiety, tension
• Difficulty concentrating
• Tiredness or low-energy
• Changes in appetite
• Feeling overwhelmed
• Physical symptoms such as breast tenderness or swelling, bloating or weight gain

Having a diagnosis has been quite relieving as FINALLY things made sense (I’m not just ‘hormonal’ or ‘moody’ for NO reason as many people called me in the past!) but there’s a sense of grief that comes with it since I know that I’ll be experiencing the symptoms every month…BUT I don’t want this condition to define me!
As painful, hopeless and hard work as it is for me every month I know I have a lot going for me…my family, my gorgeous kids, my loving partner and my flowers!… and that’s what keeps me going! 👊🏼
If anyone reading this thinks of suffering from the same condition, don’t feel ashamed, there’s lots of support out there!
People need to know about PMDD because it’s a REAL condition and I think it’s important to talk about it.

They took all the flowers
and taught them how to shoot guns;

the tulips learned to emit poison gas
and the roses, my god the roses
were used to hide the blood stains
on the carpeting.

It was war;
all out war they said
and everything had to be used
because all was to be used
to ensure ultimate victory.

Dead trees were gnawed at the center
and taught to toppled themselves on unwary Geraniums marching.

The Lialics laid down hand grenades
in front and in the back of enemy Orchid buds.

The outcry against: 'flower power' was immense
'an atrocity' said many
but it did not stop.
Pigeons and dolphins learned to carry bombs;
dogs became spotters for sniper's guns;
elephants trampled the flower beds
and marched with; the infantry.

All of nature bent to war's intent
and paid the ultimate price on bloodied battlefields-
the flowers going straight to funerals-
no need to send remembrances
since
their fresh flower carcasses were already present
bullet ridden and bleeding.

So every tree, animal and plant
was used to disembowel the ecology-
misshapened and bent to Foul Intent
in the grey dawn
cracking-
artillery shells smoking and spent
bullet casings strewn about;
dead flora
dead fauna;
haphazardly arranged dying flowers
their petals weeping.
