Eight local runners, all members of the Georgetown Running Club, will race the Olympic Marathon Trials tomorrow in Orlando. The race will be broadcast on Peacock and NBC and Franklin Hall will hold a viewing party at 9:30.

Dylan Hernandez and Madeline Hartlieb led 500 local finishers at the Boston Marathon

Rockville's Dylan Hernandez (2:26:02) and D.C.'s Madeline Hartlieb (2:57:52) were the first D.C.-area runners across the finish line at the 127th Boston Marathon.

A Montgomery County, Md., Planning Department/Commission meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. will look at continuing the half-mile closure of two lanes of Little Falls Parkway for recreational use. The Road Runners Club of America honors several Montgomery County Road Runners members

Marine Capt. Kyle King led the Marine Corps Marathon wire-to-wire, but spent 23 miles feeling like there was a chance Jon Mott could get him at any time. Chelsea Baker, of the British Royal Navy, improved on her 2019 time by 40 minutes

Capt. Kyle King won the Marine Corps Marathon, a year after he planned to make his debut at the race, and Chelsea Baker of the British Royal Navy made tremendous strides winning the women's race.

Rick Nealis, the Marine Corps Marathon's director since 1993, will retire atfter a 29-year stretch of growth for the region's centerpiece race.

NPS will accept comments through May 19 on proposals to create unprotected bike and pedestrian lanes on Hains Point. A remote meeting April 19 at 5 p.m. will elaborate on the options.
