September transitions…late summer tomatoes seamlessly blended into fall inspired bouquets. Maddox Lane balanced a mix of private events, corporate catering and our usual weekly boutique meal deliveries pulling seasonal inspiration and our classic favorites. I traveled to San Francisco, Atlanta and San Diego and got to experience some actual fall moments…

Our menu this week is inspired by a little bit of September, link in bio to see what we’re up to for next week!

Mid(life) summer dreams…whole fried snapper, sister-sent cheese plate on a breezy patio, birthday week with my love, ocean waves for a few days, three Cuban dessert specialties (Quattro leches!! walnut strawberry pavlova!!), nieces who give sparkly pedicures, lazy sun porch Sundays, a four-way with a bib (no shame in my pastel clothing game), field-side fireworks to agigate my nerves.

Goodness in Seattle, stopping to smell the roses (literally) taste all the things, and moving my b***y with my beau is a day well spent. A day in the pursuit of rest, play, wonder…and it never fails, every time I choose rest opportunities come and I feel inspired to create and grow. Give yourself what you need!

Mexico City bites - the ones I took photos of were mostly of the chilaquiles varietals.
- The Fideo Chilaquiles with Salsa Verde was delicious and I absolutely fell in love with all the fresh juice blends and fresh fruit and coconut blends
- Classic Huevos Chilaquiles from El Bahia
- Whole grilled snapper topped with fresh cilantro and veggies
- Mexico City series with mi nobio
- The spirit and the energy of the culture at the CDMX Classic

I’d tell these girls, “You’re strong, you’re smart, youre uniquely you, you’re a badass and you’re going to handle anything that comes your way while meeting incredible people, shedding lots of tears, and having more good times than you can count. It all works out the way it should.”

Also, my mom is interwoven into all I do, as she told me posthumously, “I am everywhere…” and mom, you truly are 🩷.

Our newest bite, inspired by the confectionary counters (the first time I saw glass cases full of stuffed dates for sell I knew I had to come back and create a signature Maddox Lane option 🩵). Our Dubai Date Bites are made with Arizona grown large Medjool dates, filled with pistachio birds nest phyllo pastry & pistachio butter, finished with 60% dark chocolate and chopped pistachio. Look out for these as they pop up on the menu and always available for special orders (100 or more delivered!).

True luxury begins with trust. When our client’s feel confident in us and give us the space to create whatever we want for them, the result is food that’s intuitive, refined, and deeply personal.

It’s an honor to build trust with our clients, to be invited in your home, whether through our meal delivery service or private chef events, food here is personal and made with so much love. Highlights of the past week, making this beautiful roasted grape lebneh finished with chopped pistachio and almond dukkah, grape reduction, and mint alongside the simple Roquefort filled roasted pear with candied thyme and a little maple caramel drizzle.
