Always stoked to bring New Jersey's Ground back to Brooklyn - their mix of grind, powerviolence, and mosh kills it every time! They'll be headlining with support from local math-grinders Thin. (get ready for new tunes from them in 2025!), New Jersey death-grinders Bayht Lahm, those crusty grinders from NJ in Unhinge, plus NYC locals Plague Master kicking things off with their take on metallic grind and hardcore! This Saturday night we bid farewell to Closer, a band I first booked at an ABC No Rio in Exile show at Silent Barn back in 2017. I remember being a bit skeptical, when Griffin mentioned to me as his older band xPassagex was winding down that he'd started an emo/screamo-style band. But I thought they were pretty good when I heard it, and seeing them live made me an instant fan. I've booked them several times over the years, even as they grew from a Brooklyn trio to living in 3 different cities in 2 different states, all the while delivering impassioned performances every time they take the stage. They've grown to be friends, and I'm happy to send them off on a high note. As a parting gift, they've just released the last 2 songs they ever recorded - available now on Bandcamp and wherever you stream music.
