Lisa joined Your Day Ibiza almost a year ago now and has brought so much to the team already, from ceremonies to ideas to blogs.

She came with a wealth of experience, having been a celebrant and registrar in the UK for over ten years and over a thousand weddings.

As well as being experienced, she is gentle, calm, warm, easy to talk to, an excellent writer and has a wonderful speaking voice. Honestly, I could listen to her read the phone book aloud and still be enthralled. 😅

HELLO FROM YDI HQ (AKA the spare room/home office in Carly's house)

This time last week I was soaking up the Senegal sun on the last day of an unforgettable holiday with my family and some of our besties

Today I have spent my morning following up open enquiries, hand writing my monthly planning sheets for the wedding season (anyone else not feel fully organised until they put pen to paper or is that just me?), arranging video calls and getting prepped for what is shaping up to be another fantastic year!

If you have booked with me, you will find a new email in your inbox, either with a planning timeline and questionnaire to fill in or to book a call if I already have your questionnaire - Time to plan your ceremony....eeeeeek!

Our lovely .yourdayibiza led two beautiful intimate Effortless ceremonies last weekend. One west side by the sea and the other east side on the red cliffs.

Lisa is flying in her first year here on Ibiza as a celebrant and we couldn't be happier to have someone as experienced, gentle, warm and eloquent on the team. 💕

Our Effortless ceremonies are exactly that! Simple, no venue, no frills, no - or very few - guests. The focus is solely on the couple and their love for each other as they make or renew promises to spend their lives together surrounded by the natural beauty of this inimitable island. ❤️❤️❤️

WEDDING VOWS & RING EXCHANGE

This part of the ceremony can - and should - be exactly how you want it to be. Like everything else on your big day, the way you select and make your vows should also reflect who you are as a couple. There is NO SUCH THING as the right or wrong way to make your vows!

❤️You can pour your heart out on paper, writing your own personal vows.
💙You can go with the traditional 'til death do us part'
💕You can choose from the PDFs on the private page of our website when you book.
❣️We can help you to create and customise your own promises based on what you value most.
💚You can repeat line by line after your celebrant.
💛You can read from cards which we prep or can buy yourselves vow booklets and hand write them for that old school romantic vibe.
💜You can include a handfasting as a nod to your roots, like these two did.
🩷You can exchange vows privately and simply say 'I do' in the ceremony, like Mr and Mrs Gallagher here.

Neither of these two is a big public speaker and both were nervous about making vows in front of everyone, so they chose to exchange them privately pre ceremony, then to simply say I do as they exchanged rings after having their right hands wrapped with their family tartans. They then kissed, stepped back and tied their knot. Simple, beautiful and very much them.

However you decide to make those promises is completely down to you and we are here to help, guide and be your sounding board or editor every step of the way. Follow your heart and your gut and you can't go wrong. 🙏

Today, I woke up to this gorgeous video and review over email:

"From the first contact Carly went out of her way to accommodate a surprise vow renewal during our stay in Ibiza, the meticulous planning and gathering of knowledge was edited expertly to provide us with a bespoke ceremony on the day that will be remembered for years to come, Carly and Rick created an ambience and atmosphere of love and fun throughout the ceremony, the music sets were first class (which everyone in the party danced and smiled to) and we had an amazing day, Thank you, Stuart & Tracy. “

Stuart contacted me in Spring to tell me that he wanted to surprise his wife with music and a vow renewal for their 25th anniversary, which happened to fall when they were holidaying here with 15 of their family earlier this month.

I was so excited to be involved and over emails and a video call Stuart and I planned to play their wedding song as part of surprise pre dinner music, then announce that that was just the start of the surprises....next I led a vow renewal ceremony under a gorgeous olive tree in the garden then Rick and I played for 90 minutes whilst they danced, toasted and celebrated. Unforgettable.

I often experience moments of pure gratitude, love and happiness when I reflect on just how incredible it is to utilise my passions for writing, singing, creating, performing and connecting with people in my work and to be in these environments of love, joy and intimacy so frequently. This was definitely one of those moments and is up there with some of the best work memories I have made so far.

Thank you Mr and Mrs Gray for inviting Rick and I to be part of your celebration of love, life and unity. What a privilege it was to be part of this incredible, intimate event.

Grace and James. ❤️❤️

I adored these two from our first meeting. Cool, calm, collected and totally in love, with clear ideas on exactly what they wanted from their day.

Their ceremony was relaxed, light and fun with a loving cup ritual mixing their favourite tinto de verano and words from their friends family but still had moments of romance and happy tears.

The connection between them was obvious throughout and I love that the super talented .inlove.photographers picked up on the hand squeezes, loving looks as tenderness between them. ❤️

Congratulations once more, Mr & Mrs Wood, here's to a lifetime of happiness for you both. X###

Me llamo Graciela, nací en Ibiza donde he vivido casi toda mi vida. He podido ver cómo la isla asombra a todas aquellas personas que han deseado conocerla. Este es un lugar especial para conectar con el amor y la alegría de vivir.

Vivo cerca de la playa con mi compañero desde hace 14 años. Muchas veces nos imaginamos envejeciendo juntos y agradecemos a la vida el habernos encontrado. Tenemos un hijo pequeño que ha fortalecido aún más nuestro vínculo.

Spotlight on the awesome ❤️❤️❤️

This man is sunshine in human form. Focused, hard working, dapper, funny and a massive fan of a Cornish pasty, a dickie bowtie and a pork pie hat, Ben brings his A game every time.

With Ben as your celebrant, you are guaranteed a few giggles, a lot of warmth, a dash of showmanship and an unforgettable ceremony. He also makes an awesome cocktail if you want to add a drink mixing to your ceremony. 😉

I have had the privilege of knowing Ben for almost 10 years now and it's such a joy to call this genuine, enthusiastic and eternally optimistic and positive person a friend and teammate. ❤️

Our children have grown up together, he is my chosen family and we have worked together in many guises - so proud to have him on team YDI. He has his first ceremony of 2024 on Friday and I know it will be incredible. ❤️❤️❤️

PS...somewhere there are photos of us as Anna and Kristoff from Frozen when I worked as an entertainer for him and his wife/my soul sister in the early days of their hugely successful party and event company ...but that's another story! 🤣🤣
