10.5.24 Tracy + Bey at Cheshire Rod and Gun Club!
Where to start?! My mind naturally wants to start with what made this one most memorable for me.
Is it the look at the venue itself? The black linens and chairs covers combined with the lights and drapes I brought in made that place look as classy as I think I've seen it. I used my black DJ booth and totems to match. Rocking black has become so rare I didn't even have what it takes with me and had to have my wife run it to me earlier that day.
Or is it the bride walking herself all the way down the hill as part of the procession? Talk about dramatic. She was escorted to the bottom by her sons who handed her off to dad. They then fixed her dress and made their way up front. So touching to watch.
Is it the bride's brother who celebrated his 5th wedding anniversary that very day? He tried to hire me for his own wedding 5 years ago and while I was bummed I couldn't DJ for him since I was already booked at another wedding that day, I did execute a stunning lighting design for him at the Country Club of Pittsfield. Still, I had odd twinges of guilt creep in about how one sibling got me after the other could not.
Or is it that out of nearly 1,000 people, their mother currently ranks as my number 1 top fan? She's been interacting with my business page for years and years. Love that!
Is it that their photographer and I have worked dozens and dozens of weddings together over the years both in her capacity as an accomplished wedding photographer and also as the former events coordinator of one of the leading wedding venues in my area? Working beside her hardly feels like work at all, more like hanging out.
Or is it the tear jerking speech we heard from Tracy + Bey's oldest? She was too pregnant to fly or endure the long drive so we worked together and got creative to bring her speech to the wedding all the way from Florida.

9.7.24 Lindsey + John at Stablegate Lodge! This was my first time at the Lodge! I'm slowly working my way through all the Birch Hill Catering facilities!
After working together for more than a year and a half, we met in person for the first time for our final meeting. They were gracious enough to have me into their home where we talked for hours to make sure everything went perfectly and we packed as much fun as possible into a single wedding reception. It's safe to say we succeeded spectacularly!
