The building was constructed in 1921 and opened as a social establishment called the Fox Hole. In the 1940’s the dance hall became the Silver Dollar. In 1968 the venue was purchased by singer-songwriter, Arkey Juenke. It’s the oldest continuously operating honkytonk in Texas.
