There’s beauty in every season if you care enough to look for it. 🤎

I’ll be the first to admit that January is not my favourite month of the year (although this wonderfully sunny January has been a lovely surprise!). Today I challenged myself to find the beauty in this mostly brown, dreary month and create something pretty out of it. ✨

A walk through the flower field and surrounding forest revealed more treasures than I was expecting and came together in this wild and whimsical arrangement.

While it certainly doesn’t hold the same beauty as fresh summer florals, I think it certainly shows off the beauty that is uniquely January. 🌿

The first seeds of the 2025 season have been planted and in a few short months spring will be here! I’m so looking forward to another year of growing pretty things! 🌱🤍🌷

While it doesn’t snow around here very often, you have to admit it’s pretty magical when it does! ❄️✨🤍

Our Winter Whites wreath celebrates all things frosty and bright! Handcrafted with eucalyptus, dusty miller and dried statice, these wreaths are finished off with the fluffiest of bows, a warm hug on a crisp wintry day! ❄️☃️

Embracing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest our West Coast Winter wreaths feature shades of greens and earthy browns and includes lots of woodsy textures. 🌲

Each wreath is hand crafted with cedar, pine, boxwood, and alpine huck branches and is finished off with eucalyptus and pinecones. A soft green satin bow adds the perfect festive touch to these natural, earthy wreaths. 💚🤍🤎

You can find our wreaths at the Maple Ridge Christmas market this coming Saturday at the Greg Moore Youth Center. The market is open from 10-2!

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the downpour to stop by the stand this past weekend! 🙏

We had a very limited amount of bouquets available and all of them were claimed! We also had a couple people send in money even though they couldn’t make it to the stand (thank you! 🤍).

All together we were able to raise a total of $300 for Hope for Freedom Society ()!

The farm stand is stocked! ✨

The frost has held off and while we will not be at the farmers market this weekend we do still have flowers blooming!

We’ve stocked the stand with $25 bouquets and 100% of the sales will be going to HOPE FOR FREEDOM SOCIETY, a local addictions recovery resource, in memory of my brother Mike who passed away 6 years ago this month after a long battle with addiction.

The stand will be restocked all weekend or until we run out of flowers! Thank you so much for your support! 🤍🤍🤍

Happy Thanksgiving!! 🍂🌾

As we get set up for our very LAST market of the year it is so easy to be grateful. Grateful for the abundance of flowers we’ve had this year, grateful for Saturday mornings hanging out with my mom and my girls at the market, and so very grateful for each and every one of you who continue to support our little flower farm! 🤍

We’re at the today from 9-2 with our special pumpkin arrangements, cut bouquets and a few mini arrangements! 🤍

Thank you so much for all your encouragement and support this year! We’ll see you again next year!! 🥰

We’re coming up to the end of our fresh flower season! 😭. The cooler weather has set in and the growth in the flower farm has slowed to a snails pace. 🐌 🍂

Today will be our last “regular” market with bouquets and arrangements in glass vases. Next week will feature our thanksgiving pumpkin arrangements! Woot woot! 🙌🌾

We know how popular these are and we’re going to do our best to bring as many as possible down to the next week! This may mean that there will not be flowers left over for bouquets!

So if you’re looking to grab a fresh flower bouquet before the season’s over make sure you stop by today! 🤍🤍🤍

My first installation! ☺️

On Thursday night I had the pleasure of getting together with a few other flower farmers and event florists to put together a table scape display in honour of . This was my first introduction to floral installation pieces (large statement pieces that require special rigging) and I learned so much helping them create! Rachel .botanicals showed me a technique of using recycled drink containers zap-strapped to a post as an environmentally friendly alternative to floral foam. Watching all these amazing lady’s create also made the idea of an instillation much less intimidating! 😅

On Friday night, while putting together bouquets and arrangements for , I decided I should try my hand at making an installation on my own!

My crew left a little earlier Saturday morning for the market and after setting up the tables I got to work on the installation. Using extra blooms and greenery foraged from the back woods this piece quickly came together!

I learned a whole lot and while I’m proud of how it came out there’s a few things I would have done differently! Sometimes you gotta dive in and do it to learn how to do it better!

It ended up being a huge hit at the market with lots of people stopping to take picture with it! It also opened up the conversation about local Canadian grown flowers, a topic that, let’s face it, does not come up often in daily life! 😂

Although it was a bit of a last minute idea and I was a little underprepared I’m glad I gave it a shot, it’s always rewarding to step outside your comfort zone and try something new! 🤍

We’re bringing a load of floral magic down to the today! ✨

This weeks flowers feature lots of Sweet William along with the first dahlias and zinnias of the season! The usual suspects, sunflowers, statice and feverfew round out the bouquets!

You can find us in Memorial Peace Park today from 9-2! 😘
