Known internally as the Dark Horse, Gravey Lane (Dylan Price, and Blake Beveridge from Manly with Jaya Prisco styling) was a late addition to the MODA lineup, signing on just two weeks before the event. Presenting multiple looks is impressive; delivering them with such a high level of quality, brand ethos, and garment diversity is extraordinary.

Simply put, the local surf-core team blew us away.

Staying true to their environmentally conscious brand ethos, Gravey presented a collection of up-cycled pieces, including trench coats, suits, and blazers, all doused in spray-on attitude and deliciously complemented with accessories fit to match including staple jewellery from Eastern Suburbs jeweller .

Paired with D-SQUARED (.a.u.g ), the walk was furious yet elegant—a fitting nod to the brand’s ability to do both and do it well.

Personal highlights included a tan trench coat spray-painted with complementary earthy tones, a trench coat exuding late 1990s rave-core with a white GL-infused pattern running down the spine, and a full suit also doused with contrasting spray paint. Additionally, there was a monogram slim fit complementing the suit, rounding off what was a shockingly incredible walk by the trio.

Each piece reminded us that you can walk through life with the perfect balance of attitude and royal aura.

Mark our words: Gravey Lane is an emerging brand, organisation, and community that is 100% one to watch over the next few years.

[MUSIC AT MODA] SILLY LILY

Love Shy Resident takes the reins at MODA, closing out Machine Hall in her first headline set.

Doubling as a DJ and stylist, Lily will also be presenting as stylist presentation earlier in the night in collaboration with .

When we set out to accomplish MODA the timeframe was tight, and it seemed like a great opportunity for both the brand and Lily to pursue a collaborative event for fashion week.

Lily managed to get us a shortlist of designers and their contacts which put us on the path to MODA.

Not only that, her passion for the environment, which aforementioned exists in both her personal and profession life, led to the structure for the stylist presentation being made up of 80% up-cycled clothes and materials.

She will be joined by Dayzzi and D.a.u.g, MTTY & W:LL, and Roxy lotz who will all be bringing their heat to the MODA dancefloor.

[DESIGNER BIO] SILLY LILY & DAYZZI

It just keeps on getting better.

Stepping up to the plate, the talented duo Silly Lily (Lily Wilkinson) and Dayzzi (Izzy Stephenson) co-present a curated collection consisting of 100% pre-loved garments, accessories and shoes. All looks are styled as a team and features designer Phoebe Lacoste showcasing her upcycled garments as well as many items from their combined wardrobes.

This structure is credited to our beloved resident dj Silly Lily, whose passion for sustainability remains at the forefront of her both recreational and professional life, as she has recently moved states to work for Australia’s first and largest textile resource recovery facility - BlockTexx.

Since then, Lily and Izzy have been hard at work getting together looks for the first stylist presentation at MODA DESIGNER in collaboration with

Look good for a good cause. Who said you can’t have the best of both worlds?

Universal Club. A hard one to catch for us these days as it’s not up for taking on the weekends (because they have 2 outrageously great parties on Friday and Saturdays 🏳️‍🌈). That leaves us with a small gap each year to do a Thursday night as everyone takes work off for the Christmas and NYE silly season. It could just about be the best club space in Sydney. 700 capacity, unmatched sound and in-house production. A perfect place for us to launch AME [ ARTS MUSIC EVENT ]. Have a browse. Floor plans to come. Could be the only party we can do here for another 12 months. (Note, these images are not from our events). 👀

Here we go. Love Shy 2023 and beyond will look like this. This is a wonderful step for us and we’re exciting about what it will mean for our events moving forward and the rest of the scene. One year down and that calls for a celebration. We privileged to have so many talented locals and headliners grace our events throughout the year and we’re still over the moon to have brought AME to reality last year. We’ve also just about finished announcing the first ever Love Shy residents who will be taking charge this Saturday night amongst a stellar local lineup. We have absolutely no doubt that we deliver and exceed all expectations. There’s still lots to do but this Friday we will be celebrating with you, our community 🫶 Bring your dancing shoes to work and clear your plans for Saturday morning, we’re in for a big one. Well well well, I think it's fair to say we all deserve a rowdy NYD after a few years of rather dismal celebrations. Shall we call this a belated 2020 NYD celebration for all of Australia? Maybe all of Australia is a bit excessive, but certainly for our favourite Feelsgood party goers. Finally… we can get back to what Aussies do best… and that's bring in the New Year with an absolute bang. After back-to-back sold out shows for Feels Good, we figured we would head back to Sinaloa and give the venue’s drop-dead-gorgeous courtyard another run for its money.
