We are accepting just a couple more weddings for 2025. We have 1-2 openings for spring, 1 summer opening, September is fully booked, but we could fit 1-2 more in October/November, and 1 in December.

This couple wanted a terracotta palette with heavy greenery, pop of blue and large focal flowers to balance. They also chose a mixture of low and tall arrangements for more interest throughout the tent. It was warm and inviting, and we loved everything about it!

This has been a week full of anxiety and worry, hope and excitement, exhaustion and adrenaline, joy and love, and most of all, gratitude.

My father received a double lung transplant last week. It's been a long journey, and it's not even close to over, but when he got that call, so many emotions ran through me. He had just 5 hours to get to Boston. I was in the middle of a wedding (and if you're not a wedding vendor, it's pretty hard to explain there REALLY are absolutely zero sick days). Since I couldn't leave, I was on kid and animal duty. My husband jumped in the car and drove them. They got there in time, and he received his new life the next day after an 8 hour surgery. I finished my wedding Saturday and headed down to Boston. The teams and doctors in Boston are absolutely incredible. Everything that needs to align for a transplant to be successful sounds impossible, but they do it every day. My dad is expected to be out of the ICU within the next couple of days. He has a long road, but with a ton of support 🙏

Just try to remember while you're shopping this holiday season, or you're planning a wedding, to a small business, you are everything. Don't ask for discounts, don't ghost them, and don't say "I can get that cheaper elsewhere". Their business isn't just a job, it's a life. You're supporting someone's dream, but also their lively hood. Their pricetag certainly isn't to get rich, but to be able to sustain their business. We work through all sorts of situations, and usually with a smile on our face.

This ceremony consisted of multiple free standing arrangements of various heights, all with heavy greenery/foliage,with just a pop of flowers. It transformed the open room into an intimate, warm, and inviting space for a ceremony. Afterwards, each arrangement could be used in the reception ✔️.

Hi all!

I just wanted to pop in and do a quick introduction for some of our new followers 👋

I'm Leah, this photo was taken by at the last weekend.

My dream is to continue the path I'm on, but maybe in a more organized and less chaotic feeling way? I'm not sure if that's possible, but sometimes I wish I could just snap my fingers and everything is in its spot, and money wasn't a constant source of feeling the need to hustle hustle hustle 🤷

We'll be heading into our 10th year in 2025 and I feel like there's still an incredible amount to learn. That's refreshing, so exciting, and most definitely humbling.

I turned 40 this summer 🙈

I feel very fortunate and successful in who I've chosen to surround myself with, and who has chosen me to be in their circle. As I get older, I can feel just how important it is.

This has been an odd season of less bookings in the early season, then a lot of bookings all at once, personal and health balancing, young children's needs, older children's sports, losing our beloved dog, getting a new dog that hasn't been exposed to anything, COVID circling, and trying to have calm and time off somewhere in there.

My youngest started school 😁

We are heavy into booking for 2025, but we still have plenty of dates available. Please inquire at blackswanfloral.com🖤

I don't know how people do it. Keep up with life, MOM, run a business, MOW THE LAWN, take care of the garden, pets, appointments, finances, Landry, make memories, stay in touch with friends and family, self care, oh and keep up with social media.....my home constantly looks like it was hit by a tornado, inside and out, and I literally never sit down. Today was magic. The past three days I've had the chance to watch, learn, converse, and ingest as much inspiration as I can from Passionflowersue. She is an astounding teacher and an amazing advocate, educator, and artist in the floral world. I can't thank our wholesaler, Green Mountain Floral Supply enough, for bringing her in. The amount of hard work and care they put into these workshops so our area, and their customers, can enhance and grow what we love to do most, is not overlooked. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!

Our Story

We (Leah and Pam) are a mother/daughter duo who have worked together for over 10 years. Pam's passion, creativity, and experience (of over 30 years) paired with Leah's fresh ideas and attention to detail, produces an exceptional outcome that has often exceeded expectations of their clients.

Working remotely, purposely not having a commercial storefront, allows prices to stay affordable, while giving each client and wedding careful attention without being "spread too thin". Being a floral designer for only celebrations without the pressure of running a full service floral store allows us to take the time needed to meet with clients (sometimes multiple times), source the highest quality materials, produce a product that hopefully meets if not exceeds their expectations, and deliver it to the venue.
