Events are usually so busy that I rarely have time to think about capturing videos for social or testimonials, especially ones where we load in, execute and strike on the same day.
As a result, I have very few video testimonials but Zack and I had worked together on events for the Anaheim Ducks and when he walked in the room for this event, I knew everything would run smoothly.
As much as I appreciate his kind words, a show is never a one man person ... and your host or auctioneer (or in this case both) can either make or break it.
At California Coast Auctions, Zack represents a lot of other highly trained and professional hosts / auctioneers and is amazing at finding the right personality and heart to help the organization raise the most money.
This video was shot mid pandemic when everyone was scrambling to find ways to continue to serve their community and fundraise. It was an excellent example of a hybrid event where McNally Enterprises livestreamed from inside our makeshift studio and satellite cameras picked up in-person drive through festivities.
(It was so successful that you can hear the excitement and celebration of the organizers in the background.)
At that point, I realized that pandemic or no pandemic, hybrid events provide an excellent opportunity to expand your reach and include donors that may not otherwise be able to attend.
So I rewrote the Event Plan Like a Rock Star manual to include not only live events, but virtual and hybrid as well.

Take Care of Yourself First!
Yesterday I mentioned that I recently recorded a speaker demo reel in Atlanta.
One of the challenges I have had the past few years is that marketing experts suggest that you have to have a niche and really zero in on the people you are helping.
I have resisted that for so long because with Energy Mastery® work, you truly can help so many people with so many things.
After years of coaches saying the same thing over and over, I finally agreed to focus on helping stressed out event professionals master their energy to enjoy more ease, grace and joy in their lives, allowing them to spend more quality time with loved ones (including themselves).
During the pandemic, I wrote an event planning manual entitled "Event Plan Like a Rockstar" with a bonus or "encore" chapter I called "Secure Your Oxygen Mask First".
It’s about putting yourself at the TOP of your priority list before you take care of others.
What does this really mean?
Well .... mani pedis are NICE and eating well, drinking water and getting rest are great but that is just scratching the surface.

Last week, I went on an incredible journey to finally take action on what I've always dreamed of doing. 🌟

Just after taking my first class, my father suffered a stroke. We rushed him to the hospital and had to almost carry him into the ER.
We checked him in and he was slumped over in a wheelchair and I decided I had to at least try to do something. After approximately 15 minutes, he stood straight up and walked unassisted to the vending machine to see what there was to eat.

What is Energy Mastery® and how did it change my life?

In my early forties, just months after marrying the man of my dreams, (he was the first boy I ever kissed but we lost one another for 30 years) a doctor sat us down and told us that if he was alive in six months, they could put him on a transplant list. I decided there had to be more options than death and surgery, so I immersed myself in researching and educating myself in various healing modalities and methods.
Within six months he was too healthy to be on a transplant list and within three years, all his “numbers" were back to normal. But after three years of caregiving and decades working in an incredibly stressful career, I discovered that I also needed healing.

Hi, it’s Susan Koziak, Live Event Producer/Director and Certified Energy Mastery® instructor.
You have likely heard the paraphrase of Newton’s Law of Motion: “An object in motion stays in motion, an object at rest remains at rest.”
Inertia is powerful and when it comes to good habits, consistency is key!
When you opt-out, it can be a thousand times harder to get going again … kind of like rolling a huge snowball uphill.
If you are not making a habit of taking care of yourself (whether you are a parent, caregiver, or over-delivering at work, then likely by the end of the day, it’s easy to opt out.
if there's any time left over, maybe you do a little something for yourself but more than likely that involves Netflix, a glass of wine or some chocolate. Maybe all three! LOL.
The reality is you have to consciously put yourself at the top of your priority list, or you will only ever get what little time is left over at the end of the day.
When you're running on empty, burnt out, and your cup is not full, it's much harder to keep going. But when you put yourself at the top of your priority list and take care of yourself first thing, you have better energy all day long to help you get through whatever happens with more ease.
So the question becomes … how good do you want to feel?
