Frenchfield Schooling Session

This month's winner will soon be flying around the course of Cumbria Events' Frenchfield venue!

The terrain at Frenchfield provides a testing yet flowing ride and Douglas and his team ensue this is enhanced by the beautiful course designs. The course has wonderful views across to the Lake District. The sandy going means the footing is always impeccable and is superbly maintained by Douglas, making for a great ride round!

Remember Frenchfield is a bold but inviting British Eventing course starting at full up 80cm ranging to the Novice course at 110cm! And under BE rules the rider who wins this prize must be in the year of their 12th birthday!

The schooling after the BE is perfect for new budding eventers to get some practice in or for the more experienced to practice some technical lines or step up a level! Make sure you've entered April's raffle to be in with a chance to win a schooling round for just £3, what a bargain!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Tack and Craft sale last night, to all the people with a table, to those who came for some shopping, those who helped with baking and helping run the evening! Very much appreciated!

The next in person event is the CFHS Easter Showjumping on 11th April! Classes for all ages and abilities! Open show so anyone with insurance can enter!

Arena hire donation

Newton Rigg Equestrian Training & Events has two full 20x60m arenas, one outside and one inside. They have donated one hour in the indoor arena for one of this month's raffle winners for you to stay cosy and dry!

CFHS are so lucky to have this venue right on the doorstep and are grateful for the services Deb and her team provide at Newton Rigg, from a beautifully graded arena to a safe and secure car park!

Make sure you have entered March's raffle so you don't miss out on an hour inside for possibly just £2!

Arena hire donation

Holme Bottom is a beautiful venue just outside of Tebay with both an indoor and outdoor arena. The outdoor area has stunning views across the fells and includes a full course of show jumps as well as a small ramp and bank/step jumps!

The arenas are home to the Tyson Family and CFHS are extremely grateful that we are able to use such a fab arena.

The surface is the same as Richmond EC, Equestrian Surfaces and is lovely to jump on as well as practice those dressage movements.

Make sure you've entered March's online raffle so you don't miss out, £2 for the possibility of a whole hour in this arena!

We have four current/past members of the branch, some of whom were rarely beaten at tack and turnout throughout their whole PC journey so far.

Each judge brings their own expertise and all four are really lovely and helpful. They will be able to answer any questions in the ring and will make sure its a fabulous day for all!
