We were very excited to get our new member packet yesterday from the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce! We're planning to be very involved in next year's Oil Heritage Festival with a parade float, a Merge event for teens, and any sound support that is needed!

I have a list started, but if any of you Venango and Crawford County peeps can help me out:

I'm looking for bars and/or eateries that would potentially host my "Tune Trivia" game show starting this fall. Feel free to tag them in this post. I just finished up the promo packet and will be contacting locations next month with a potential start date of August or September.

On a side note but completely related, if you or somebody you know is interested in helping or wants to work, please feel free to contact me. Once I get a list of interested venues, I will need to hire 1-2 people to aid me in doing these shows, and to eventually do shows on their own. Must be 18+, and having reliable transportation is encouraged, but not required.

First wedding for 2025 is in the books!
Don't hesitate to book your DJ or entertainment for your 2025 wedding as soon as possible, because before you know it, no professionals will be available! Here's some suggestions to help you prepare for planning your wedding:

1. Book your venue, DJ, and photographer 12 months in advance. It sounds like a long time, but the sooner you book these 3 primary things, the sooner you can get a jump start on some of the most important parts of your day! Clients who book their vendors sooner tend to see much smoother days than not.

2. SIGN A CONTRACT!!! We cannot stress this enough, but we hear too many horror stories about couples not signing contracts or paying deposits and their DJ backs out at the last minute. We get a lot of phone calls due to this. Please, when booking ALL your vendors, ask about contracts and deposits, ask about if they are non-refundable, and read your contracts to know what you're getting into.

3. Shop around. Not all vendors are built the same, so you should talk to at least 3-4 vendors in each category you want. Venues, DJs, photographers, videographers, caterers, florists, etc. What one company offers may not be the same as what another offers, and you'll want somebody that does it all well. Know your vendor!
