As a person with a lot of physical challenges, at times being out from 10pm to 3am can be incredibly hard. I know that im not alone in that. With the prevlance of long covid, among a million other reasons, I have thought a lot about those in our community who simply cannot attend evening events. Some people are simply too disabled, or need to take medications, or just need to be asleep during that time.
My goth-industrial community is my damn lifeline in this world. I feel like we belong to a secret club that exists across the world, where we have endless family members we just havent met yet. I love that I can go to another city and run into friends simply by knowing what places and events to go to. Even if there is no one we know, we can find and make new friends!
Our incredible community should not be limited to those who can stay up and out past 10pm at night. I am so personally touched and excited that we will be launching Sunday Mourning, A goth industrial day time brunch beginning at 2pm, this coming July 14th. My hope is that this event can reach those who havent had as much community time as they need and deserve. There will be lots of places to sit and connect in a seated fashion, as well as plenty of space to dance and enjoy yourself. 🦇🕷🕸🎧⚙️🖤
