And that's a wrap!!
Thank you for all for your unending support this year 😘
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to take a break from face painting for a while. As many of you know I am studying to be a counsellor at the moment and next year will be very full on with placement hours and full time papers (plus of course family stuff and husbands work commitments etc) so I have decided to stop trying to be superwoman and do everything. I will be in touch again when I am back up and running but until then merry Christmas from my family to yours ###xx

I'm blue atm guys, sadly there may be some disruption with upcoming parties... I fell on some ice and broke my ribs so moving and twisting is really painful. I will be in touch with those affected but please know that I hate having to cancel bookings or let people down 👎

Hi everyone, there has been a lot of changes to the way businesses are working in this new world we live in, please have a look below at the changes to mine, there are not many really and I hope they show my commitment to ensuring the safety of all the children I paint.

Firstly, as you know I am fully vaccinated and have a COVID-19 Certificate/pass I am happy to allow you to view/scan it when necessary.

I will be displaying a Business QR code and encourage you to sign in as your child comes up to the chair to be painted.

Please note that I will

1. Never attend a face painting booking if I am unwell, I will give as much notice as possible and refund deposits in full if I need to cancel for this reason

2.. As a close-contact business I am able to face paint for bookings as long as the event is in an Orange or Green light (please see the doc link for more info)

3. I will wear a face mask and/or a face shield to protect both the child I am painting and myself, this will remain on the whole time I am at the event.

4. Between each child I use antibactial wipes on my chair and equipment, I use a fresh brush/sponge for each face (these are cleaned with milton wash thoroughly between events) and I use hand sanitiser between each child.

5. As much as possible I will minimise the close contact I have with the child which means I will be doing designs that are quick to complete and avoid areas of the nose and mouth.

From the host of the booking I will require:

1. I require the host of the event to keep a track of every attendees details and alert me if anyone at the event becomes unwell with Covid 19

2. To let all attendees know that I can not paint any children who have any visible signs of a cold or cough (runny noses etc). This may be upsetting to the child but it is essential to protect the community.

3. Wherever possible to ask that parents of their children sign into my QR code or the one attached to the party/event booking.

My hope is that this detailed list ensures everyone that I am taking the health of those I am painting seriously and that I want to keep both my family and yours safe from any unwanted COVID-19 germs. Please feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or concerns about any of this

During this uncertain time I just wanted to let you all know that if I am sick with cold symptoms of any kind I will have to cancel your booking. I will give as much notice as possible and fully return your deposit as soon as I can.

Sadly I had to do this on Saturday as I had a little cold and did not want to risk the health of anyone's kids or families. As you know I am fully vax'd but we are all still vulnerable to this horrible virus. Whanau health must come first.

I hope you can all understand where I am coming from with this stuff and hopefully we will get back to a new normal soon.

Really hoping the kids can still see my smile through my eyes with these masks on... Safety first!! masks, face screen, antibac wipes and hand san, all tools cleaned with Milton (no changes there) and a fully vacinated painter! Getting used to the new normal back on the job x

Long message ahead! 🤓
Hey everyone, it's been a while hey, this lockdown seems to have affected us all more than last time. I appreciate your patience during this time and I'm sorry for any parties I've had to cancel, I hate letting people down 😔
I'm now taking bookings from 10th October onwards as I feel more comfortable with conditions and I will be fully vaccinated.

While we're in level 2 I will be using a mask and face shield, hopefully this won't be too scary for the kids, I think they are getting used to grownups looking like this 😷 though...
I will be cleaning between kids and using fresh brushes and sponges so please note it may take me a little longer than usual to get everyone painted, but I will go as quickly as possible avoiding nose and mouth areas. As always I won't paint any kids who are clearly unwell as its not fair on future bookings.

As it's starting to get close to the crazy season 🎃 and 🎄so please get in touch if you would like to book me in! I am already getting booked up 🤩

I thought I should write a little blerb on here about what you get when you book a party with Happy Faces face painting

Well, you get me! I'm Rhea, I have been face painting for 5 years and painting for 30! I'm a mum of 2 crazy boys (6 and 8yrs) and I live in Matamata but travel around the Waikato.

I love my job and I aim to make each interaction calm, fun and creative, considering the needs of each kid sitting in the chair. Some kids are a little unsure and so I always go at their pace and try to make them smile in the process.

I bring a whole host of goodies with me, high quality professional paints, glitter, gems and stencils. I bring my own high stool, a table and hand sanitiser, I use new brushes for each face and use milton to clean them at home. The paint is highly sensitive so wont itch or irritate lil faces.
