We don't usually include our family in our social media posts but we feel it is important to highlight the amazing work Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto does to help support families.

In collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto Robert and his wife have published their story of how much their support helped them last year when their son was in NICU at SickKids.

We invite you to read and share their story to help bring more attention to this amazing resource for families and what they do to support parents.

Since leaving the house BobHawkins.com has hosted two Family Pizza Dance Parties at the house with hopes to host another this coming spring.

Christmas Party season is rolling along, and despite the weather and highway closure one of our event teams made it to Huntsville to open and close the night for Steven Page formerly of Bare Naked Ladies and their first of two holiday galas this season.

Thank you to the The King Weekly Sentinel for today's article on how our annual Sip & Savour is powered by volunteers and in-kind support. This year, we welcome back LISA PACE Photography for capturing keepsake photos, BobHawkins.com Professional DJ Service for playing a curated Hawaiian soundtrack, Terry Forget for welcoming guests with tropical iced tea, Charlie Sferrazza for snapping candid photos, King Print Solutions for printing posters, Mark Pavilons for MC services and mayor Steve Pellegrini for being honourary chair. We are also grateful to Hockley Valley Brewing Company and Willow Springs Winery for providing the sip in Sip & Savour.

In addition to the in-kind support from these independent professionals and businesses, the dedication and tireless efforts of volunteers are at the core of this fundraiser. Without their commitment, this event would not be possible. Volunteers are involved in every aspect of production. Their time and energy are an extension of the generosity and passion that keeps our food bank running throughout the year.

Today we return to sharontemplenhs for an annual tradition of providing sound support for a special citizenship ceremony.

Today 50 individuals and family members will share their story on how they came to Canada and then will stand and swear the oath to become a Canadian citizen.
