Our friends at FEMA, are getting on us about unpermitted activity happening in the city. I want to be clear about this; our citizens and businesses have been through a lot in the last 13 months, and the last thing I want is our city to be heavy handed on folks trying to rebuild. With that said, in order to maintain the ability for folks to get flood insurance, and any assistance from FEMA, we are being required to ensure all construction activity is permitted. If you have done work in your home or business and did not have a permit,I would encourage you to contact the city, even if the work is done, and we will work with you to make sure everything is documented correctly. Please contact the number on this flyer. Thank you all, the city will do everything we can to make sure it’s the easiest possible process.
