🍂Cuffs for Frozen 2 Anna Travel outfit.🍂It was so exciting to bring this design to life back in 2020 when the movie just came out ! The whole look was a very hard design to recreate so we refused new orders for this outfit after making this one, but once we re-open custom orders, this outfit will be in the top priority list !

This dress was made in a rush (I had less than a week because a party had been requested last minute) in 2017.⁣
Back then, I was working at the same time on patterning & making the sample of the same dress, but in kids version and for Disneyland's deluxe line of kids' dresses (Paris). The final version that was ultimately chosen was my least favourite though...

Christmas really is my favourite time of year 🎄❤️ What about yours ?⁣
I always have a very hard time with winter because there isn't any snow were I live, it's just cold, dark & dull. And Christmas period just brings those lights, this joyful spirit, those comforting drinks & pastries. I tend to keep my Christmas decorations at least mid-January because I don't want to let go 😅

⚡"Thanks for everything, Herc. It's been a real slice."⚡Another dress that was finished this year and another challenge for me as my own Achilles' heel is...Draped fabric. I love seeing them, but I hate doing them because I am terrible at this and it takes me sooo much time to figure out how to handle them.

I have books about it, I practice them, but I still prefer good old mathematic shapes (ever wondered why I love Frozen dresses so much ? They are super mathematic and I just enjoy that !)

Custom Design (OOAK, won't ever be made again, you will be the sole owner of this dress & design)

When you love to overcomplicate stuff :One of the biggest challenge with the bodice was my desire to imitate the gradient effect on Elsa's original dress, but without dyeing fabric with a real gradient AND keeping a historical touch on the technics & patterns.

This lead me to this crazy overlapping of transparent pieces to create an artificial gradient. The bottom edge of the Bertha has no n**e but multi layers of whites cut in triangles to smooth the transition to the bodice (which is partially n**e), the bertha itself has some n**e and whites and the top edge has lost most of the white to transition to the skin.

❄️ Close-up shot of the details of our 2020 Limited Edition Elsa Bodice ❄️We don't always share all the finest details of our costumes, but this one's a real puzzle, that I can tell you ! There are so many different pieces sandwiched together to get a strong corset and at the same time give the illusion of n**e skin underneath all that glitter, what a headache ! 😬

It was a lot of try and learn with this costume. Even when adding the final touches, I realised that steps could have been made a lot simpler/better. I hope I'll be able to put that knowledge to good use for the next Limited Edition !

❄️Side view of our Limited Edition Spirit Elsa ! ❄️One of the perks in getting one of our Limited Editions is that you get custom designs that won't ever be made ever again (unless specified otherwise), which means each dress is a One Of A Kind piece.

We'll open a new slot for a LE Spirit Elsa soon. The design will be different, but we still have some of this awesome custom fabric we created for the skirt left ! 😄

❄️ Here is the design for this Limited Edition of Spirit Elsa ! ❄️

Sometimes, you just have an unusual idea, and our job is to bring it to life ! We can either fully create from scratch or make several drawings until you get the design you want !

The person who ordered this dress is a big fan of Empress Sissi's dress of stars so she asked us if we could mix her signature dress with Spirit Elsa.

Notes : Some features on the design were abandoned later as we both found they would look out of place (like the colored panels into the skirt slits)

🙌 IT IS DONE ! HURRAY ! 🥳🎉In all honesty, this has been the most time consuming project OF MY LIFE. It was ordered in 2020, design changed completely mid-way (we went from screen accurate to original creation inspired by one of Sissi's dress) and the sleeves just took forever to make as we could only make one small bit after another with lots of drying waiting time in between.

Btw, it's really frustrating because pictures don't show how shiny this big baby is. You barely notice the Swarovski lines on the sleeves and there are 3 000 of them !

We are part of the organization of a Med Fan Event for Easter (6th to 11th), then away for some well deserved holidays.

However, the Etsy shop will stay open during that time, it's just that we won't take paypal orders & answer much to messages as we try to cut off most of social medias during our time off.
We'll try to do shipments on the 12th to avoid unexpected delays on your orders.

**COSTUME UPDATES**
• We still have slots for our next production of F1 Travel Anna. Our Spring 2023 prod will be starting as soon as the Elsa dress is finished
• Our Elsa spirit dress should get finished the week we come back
• The Megara dress should get consistent wip when we get back as we've finally gathered the material for dyeing

The cost of Material for the dress was around 410€ at the time (it would be higher nowadays as fabric prices have risen quite a lot).

Needless to say, with that cost in mind + the handy work involved, this dress would probably be unsellable as it would cost thousands. Still, I dream sometimes that I put it up for auction and she lives for a good home, instead of sitting in my costume trunk 😅

Close-up of a dress we sold in 2016.

It was actually made in 2011 and was my first "kind of" historical costume (it wasn't historically accurate though) and I remade all the finishes before shipping it out 5 years later.

I would probably do many things differently if I made such a dress again (like making the stripes match lol)

We realized we haven't featured one of our most popular product on Etsy : Anna's engagement ring ! Its wheat pattern is 18k gold plated and delicately decorated with white Zircons. The crystal in the middle is a real topaz. The ring itself is 9k white gold plated.
