The Babag National High School, aka the Lapu Lapu City Community Rondalla, sadly did not secure the golden ticket to the finals of the National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA). Nevertheless, this is not the end of our young and talented students' journey, because there's always next time. Even though we didn't win, we are still winners. BNHS Rondalla, aka LLC Community Rondalla, never backs down; soon we will bring home the bacon.

In this connection, the group would like to express their unwavering gratitude to those supporters who are also fellow Babagueños and Oponganons, the parents, friends, family, the city, and teachers. We also would like to express our gratitude to our beloved trainer, Sir William Cañete Consejo, for being patient, determined, and passionate in teaching and sharing your skills and knowledge. We are so lucky to have a trainer like you, sir William. Thank you so much! It was indeed a journey!

The Babag National High School Rondalla, aka the Lapu Lapu City Community Rondalla, has finally arrived at the venue of the NAMCYA @50 Gintong Pamana Semi-finals! The ensemble is currently staying at the City of Bogo Senior High School, where they were warmly welcomed. Even so, the ensemble has butterflies in their stomachs as they feel the pressure and excitement in the air. May God bless us on this golden journey, and may we be able to snag the golden ticket to the Finals!!

There are only 3 days to go until the NAMCYA @50 Gintong Pamana Semi-finals! The BNHS Rondalla, aka the Lapu-Lapu City Community Rondalla, is feeling the pressure and excitement as we are about to step into the Gintong Pamana Journey. The group has been practicing non-stop, praying, and manifesting that we will get the ticket to the finals and have what it takes to be a finalist!

"Where music thrives, vibes ignite, and an event shimmers with radiant light."

For the come back of Lapu-Lapu City to participate again in the Gabii sa Kabilin last night, May 12, 2023, Babag National High School Rondalla AKA Lapu-Lapu City Community Rondalla were invited to play for that said night. BNHS Rondalla is honoured to be part of this great event and to be able to show-case their talent at the Liberty Shrine Mactan after three years of the pandemic. The BNHS Rondalla AKA the Lapu-Lapu City Community Rondalla is highly appreciative to become part of the Gabii sa Kabilin 2023.

“Celebrating Christmas through music~”

The BNHS Rondalla together with their instructor, sir William Consejo participated in the Let’s Play Christmas Concert 2022 held on December 24 at the Mandaue Sports Complex with the theme “Let’s Play with one Heart, one Goal and one Music” in support of Let’s Play Asia, Sir Kasper Hansen.

Our beloved BNHS Rondalla players had the chance to interact with other fellow instrumentalists from different schools in Cebu. This four-hour celebration honors the players and coaches who gave their time and attention to this once in a blue moon event. This event’s purpose is to not only showcase the different talents and skills of the participants and trainers but is also an event where we players can express our gratitude to our respective trainers. Since Christmas’s purpose is to spread the love with one another and be thankful to the people who gave us joy, inspiration, and faith, which is one of the roles of our trainers in our lives.

Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to Sir Kasper Hansen for allowing the BNHS Rondalla to take part in this magnificent celebration and for giving us his support to our group. We would also like to express our gratitude to Sir William, Sir Windel, Sir Mori, and our parents for their unwavering support for us during this event. Without you guys, today would not have been possible. Thank you and have a Merry, Merry Christmas! 🌟

"Dream big, sparkle more, shine bright."

The Babag National High School Rondalla a.k.a. Lapu-Lapu City Community Rondalla was one of the selected performers of the Christmas Lighting Ceremony held at Shangri-la Mactan last November 24, 2022.

It was indeed a night of lights and carols as we serenaded them with Christmas Songs. And also, it was a great opportunity for the group to showcase their talents. Witness us as we grow together and become stronger!
