About Us

I'm April and Shire Hire was born after collecting Rustic Props for our Lord of the Rings Inspired Wedding.

When we got engaged I have a clear vision of how I wanted the day to look and feel (luckily I had 2 years of planning). Our venue was a Grade II listed medieval barn that was the perfect setting for our day but it was a little daunting as it was a completely naked venue! So this lead to my obsession of trawling markets and antique fairs in the hope to have enough stuff to fill it up. On the run up to our big day when setting up the barn I realised just how much stuff I had collected!

Not every bride to be has the time I did to be searching for wedding props every weekend (come rain or shine) so it inspired me to hire my collection of rustic props to be the founding inventory of Shire Hire.
